This continues to be a lovely oasis amongst the chaos of Dar. Restful, beautifully landscaped. The staff are uniformly wonderful. Very good gym for a hotel. Excellent food - Prakash, the Food Manager, is unusually diligent, and his chefs prepare a wide variety of Indian and other cuisines. The Courtyard has a charm that is lacking in the other hotels... Loved the brief stay at the Courtyard - lovely fitted out and spacious room, though a bit dark. Very hot water in the shower, one should be careful. The courtyard itself with its tropical garden and comfortable lounging areas is beautiful and a great space to escape the chaos of the city outside.

This hotel was very good. Old arcitecture, and helpful staff. Big, clean rooms, with aircon and safe. In the morning, the news paper was hanging on the door. Good selection of breakfast, cerials, fried egg/omelett, etc.

We stayed here twice in the past few weeks and were very pleased with both visits. The rooms that we had were of nice size. Room 308 we particularly enjoyed. They have air conditioning and ceiling fans in the rooms plus refrigerators. The staff were very helpful, pleasant and courteous. The Food and Beverage Manager, Mr Krishnan, was especially attentive... More

Accommodations are fantastic, the service over the top, and the food was made to order. If returning to Dar es Salaam, it would be my first choice of hotel in the city. In fact, we missed our fight out of Dar es Salaam, and my only thought was that at least we will be able to stay another night at... More

Nice spot. We got dropped there to stay overnight before leaving to Arusha on safari. Easy from airport (late night arrival 30min and morning drop off to airport 30min at 7.30am). Clean, comfy with OK breakfast. I recommend the place.

This has become my go-to hotel in Dar es Salaam. Reasonable rates, close to central government offices in Dar, and nicely furnished rooms around a very lovely garden courtyard and pool. The staff are welcoming and attentive, and the restaurant has a nice mix of Continental, Indian and Tanzanian cuisine. This doesn't feel like a chain hotel, and I mean... More

This hotel was amazing. A comfortable, clean, air conditioned place to get over our considerable jet-lag before moving on to Arusha and our safari. The Indian restaurant is amazing (I am Indian). We were welcomed with a fruit plate and some chocolates - a nice touch! Not much to do in Dar Es Salaam, but that's not the hotel's fault!
