This place is a little piece of heaven! Comapred to other places around (that are more resort-like, with techno music and big bars) , this place is chill, authentic, quiet, friendly, ... The Kipepeo Beach Village offers a beautiful white sand beach, where it is possible to swimm at all times (rare in Tanzania!). The restaurant offers good food, but...

I lived in Kigamboni for 4 years and Kipepeo was the closest beach bar/restaurant to my house. It became my local hangout place and Friday after work drinks spot. I have read a lot of reviews on the site where people complain about some things at the restaurant and the accommodation and just thought I would put my 5 cents...

Kipepeo Beach is our favourite place for relaxing when we are in Dar. This time we came for a wedding of a friend, and it was one hectic weekend! Arrival at Kipepeo at midnight, no problem receptionist was ready and waiting to check us in, realising we would arrive back after the wedding after the kitchen would have closed, no...

Kipepeo Beach Village is the perfect escape from the city of Dar and a great option if you want to spend a few nights in Dar es Salaam before heading over to Zanzibar. The staff and general managers, Erna and Dale, are extremely warm, friendly and willing to help with just about anything. We stayed in the very basic beach...

We stayed here for one night on an overland tour with Nomad. It was one of the more basic accommodations of the trip. The huts look alright from the outside but were fairly basic inside. We had a triple room which was one large mattress between the three of us with one big mosquito net over it. The mosquito net...

The beach bar was awesome. The food was great and the drink selection fantastic. The ocean itself had so much garbage, though, which was unfortunate. Loved the chalet, but even better would have been to have an AC I the sleeping area. It was soooo hot w no relief.

Truly a great stay! The staff are friendly and full of information. The location is beautiful and well maintained with clean facilities. They have a great selection of food. All this and access to a great beach. I would recommend Kipepeo to any traveller!

The chalets are simple but clean. There is no airconditioning, so in the summer it can be hot. There are no sunbeds on the beach??!! That is unbelievenable, because there is not much to do other then hanging out on the beach and take a swim in the sea. Personnel is not very interested in the guests. And one of...

Good food and beautiful beach. It's also so close to the busy streets of Dar, that a day trip is very worthwhile. The camping area we found basic and yet very comfortable. Great stay all round. Worth the trip
