We took a family party of seven (four rooms) to Lobo in January 2013. We had read many reviews which had given a mixed impression before our first visit. We go on safari for the wildlife and country, not for pampering luxury. But we were very pleasantly surprised by both the Lobo area and the Lodge. There is great 'resident...

This lodge is in a great location and you can sit by the pool, have a beer and watch Hartebeest, Buffalo and Elephants all day long. In the actual hotel the baboons can walk down the hallways and there are Hyrax, Agama Lizards,. Cranes, and Vervet Monkeys all over the property. As others have mentioned it is an older lodge...

We spent two nights at this lodge and enjoyed the location very much. The common areas of the hotel were beautifully designed, if a little dated. Our room was also rather dated, but clean. We found the food at the buffet very good, but like others we encountered problems with our lunch boxes (swarming with ants - according to our...

I should start off by saying that the staff was great. They were all very friendly and accommodating, particularly the restaurant staff. The chef greeted us by name during every meal and the waitstaff were excellent. Lobo Wildlife Lodge is also beautifully designed and decorated. With that said, the manager was the worst I have ever encountered in the hospitality...

We loved Lobo. You just have to know what to expect. For example, no internet (at least it wasn't working when we were there) and very limited electricity (just a few hours per day). The rooms were just average and reminded us of a low budget hotel. However, the public areas of the lodge more than make up for it....

This is a perfectly fine place to stay. First, as others have mentioned, the location is breathtaking. The pool has a 180-degree deck surrounding that overlooks the Serengeti. The small trails up the rocks to view the sunset and sunrise are very nice. Best location with highly sophisticated interior..Very personnalised room amenities incl. hairdryer, mini refrigerator, safe deposit locker,tea/coffee maker..overall very hygenic...

After reading some of the other reviews, you might think this is a place to avoid out of fear of plague, poison, or kidnapping. Nothing could be further from the truth. As long as you know what you're getting into, this is a perfectly fine place to stay. First, as others have mentioned, the location is breathtaking. The pool has...

Stayed here for 1 night on June 10th, 2013 . The place was well kept, the dining room and lobby had new fancy arabic furniture and the staff was very friendly. I was concerned about staying at the Hotels And Lodges properties, based on the bad reviews, but I had very good experiences in Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro, Seronera and Lobo...

We spent a great time in Tanzania. The only negative thing about the tour was our stay in Wildlife Lobo Lodge on december 28. At our arrive it was already dark and the generator was not working, so no electricity and no warm water. Nobody told us about that at the reception, we were informed by a guy who brought...

Lobo Wildlife Lodge has the perfect location and after that everything else is simply awful. The management is dismissive, unconcerned about guest concerns and appear to work on the assumption that you won’t be coming back to why bother – a very good assumption as far as we are concerned. The rooms are old and small, poorly maintained e.g. splinters...
