Situated on the edge of the Serengeti this tented wildlife camp had excellent facilities. The tents were large, well appointed with great shower and toilet facilities. The walk from the tent to the restaurant was quite strenuous up a steep incline but the views across the plains were stunning. Food was plentiful and well prepared. The staff only to pleased to...

Excellent! How these guys and girls do it I don't know. Good food, wonderful setting, friendly staff, spotlessly clean. The Massai come to collect you for dinner with bow and arrow in hand, you think what's all that about.......but when you hear zebra snorting in the night and giraffes are wandering by your tent you understand why. We stayed for...

After driving through Serengeti National Park we arrived at Ikoma Wild Camp, greeted by friendly staff and then led to our 'tents'. These were spacious, on stilts, and the views were fabulous. At one end of our tent was the bathroom, fully equipped with shower, toilet and wash handbasin. We had electricity, lights and mosquito nets. Strict rules to have...

The tents are lovely, really spacious and comfortable. The walls unzip so you can see the wonderful views but there are nets to keep the bugs out). The bathrooms are great, with a lovely hot shower (even if you might have to wait a little while for water). The living area was a really nice touch. The camp just highlights...

All in all what we expected. Food was ok - Prices for beverages, beer...ok - fantastic overview during breakfast or dinner - very friendly and helpful staff - huge tents - shower and bathroom clean and well functioned - if any problem staff solved it quick - if you visit serengeti it`s worth to stay at Ikoma Wildcamp.

During our weeks safari we stayed at some hotels and at this wild camp for two nights. If we ever do another safari we would try to just stay at the wild camps. They are rustic, authentic and give you a better taste of Africa. We had one of the "bungalows" which were mud huts although they were fairly spacious...
