Hot water is available in the rooms from 6-11pm. I advise you to take a shower in the evening, because by morning the water is cool-warm. No power in rooms for charging or hair dryer, however lots of charging points in the restaurant. Dinner was one small pork chop which was very tasty but had little meat and a lot...

First off ... the bundle of energy named Pepe ... a gem of a gentleman. The moment we met, i felt welcome. Maybe because of his openness and authenticity. Then there's the quirky slap em together and voila you have this miracle of a shavk, large with sturdy floors and nice solid bed and veeeery large bathroom and a nice...

It appears pretty primitive, and that impression isn't far off. When we arrived a bit early, and no one could rouse the management, we almost left, but ended up very glad that we stayed. The setting was spectacular, and the food wasn't bad. A place we would return to.

We stayed two nights at Ikoma safari camp and we loved it. If you expect a luxury camp you are wrong here. But if you want to enjoy pure nature, sitting on the balcony of your lodge, enjoying a cold beer and listening to the wild while watching the sunset, then this is the place to be. The lodges are...

Let's begin with the pluses...the location, the spacious rooms, 24 hour electricity, Pepe the manager a very colourful character. My complain would be the food. We had 15 days in Tanzania and this was by far the worse food (perfectly ok, do not get me wrong, but the worse of our trip). Portions are definitely small (I do eat a...

After a whole day in the park Ikoma safari camp is the ideal place to be. Pepe the Spanish manager receives you with Spanish and Tanzania flavour. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable in a wild environment 24 h electricity thanks to solar power. Modest diner and lunch packages. Staff is very helpful and the place is very safe

My friend and I arrived here and were quite shocked by the condition of this lodge. Our previous lodge had been so warm and welcoming whilst this lodge was cold, shabby, and unwelcoming. The guests are not made to feel a priority. We had the misfortune of spending three nights here, over Christmas. We didn't even get so much as...

Two nights with Pepe and his staff was about as much as we could take! While everyone was welcoming and friendly, the level of service was not up to scratch. Our room was not the cleanest we have staying in through our Tanzanian Safari. And while one would expect wildlife outside, the inside (through holes in wall and floorboards) was...

The best part about this camp is Pepe!! :) We spent an unforgettable 2 nights here in June. The location is great with the sounds of the wildebeest all around the camp. The tents are comfortable and Pepe has done a great job with the solar power in the camp. Pretty much everything is powered by sunlight! The food was...

Ikoma Tented Camp is located about one hour drive from Mugumu Town in the Serengeti National Park in the United Republic of Tanzania. As you drive towards the camp (especially in the evening), you are treated to scenes of wildebeest, zebras, buffaloes among other wild animals as they graze near the road. The tents are very nice with beds made...
