We stayed here for 2 nights. Our tent was probably the lowest one. The camp is set on the side of a large hill right in the middle of the Serengeti. One night we had a large elephant eating a tree right next to our tent. Later as we sat on our balcony having coffee and muffins, we had two...

Friendliest staff of whole trip. Tented accommodation magic with large bathroom flush toilets & the best shower of whole trip. Wake up call with tea or coffee & muffin on front balcony looking out over the Seringeti. Wifi in main lounge area which was tastfully decorated with old period furnishings. Escort to rooms of an evening. Would be our first...

We were in #18 so that we could have a shorter distance to the dining tent. Walkways can be long and uneven. If you are wobbly on your pins be careful. Tented camp is open to the animals and an escort is required during the dark hours. If you are going on an early drive you will have to get...

The KiraWira camp in Tanzania is a once in a lifetime experience. When you decide to go to Tanzania, you have a certain mindset in terms of the kind of holiday you wish to have. The KiraWira promises exactly that holiday- set in the middle of the Tanzanian bush, but it delivers on every count possible. Think stilted tents, plush...

This hotel (tent camp) was really special. You had an individual luxurious tent up on stilts because of the animals. That didn't stop the monkeys from getting on the roof and rattling the canvas. We just loved it. The "lobby" was very comfortable ( I thought very british in style) where you could get a drink while you were relaxing...

We wren't lucky to stay here for a night so I can't comment on the rooms (sorry clicked excellent sleep quality by accident) but stopped enroute to our next destination for lunch. The staff were so friendly, welcoming and the food was lovely.

This was our third stop (We spent total of 13 days in Tanzania and stayed at 5 different Serena hotel/lodge/tents. Our needs were: a great safari experience, safe and comfortable hotel (our daughter has nut allergies - so safe has a different meaning). As we researched our trip, we came across many tours that included serena hotels. On a whim,...

"Camping" has never been so wonderful. Your tent - and yes it is a tent on a platform about 10 feet in the air due to the animals has comfortable beds, a mahogany desk and the bathroom has tile on the floors and walls. And you get the standard high end bathrobe. The dinning tent serves excellent food on fine...

As part of my safari we were upgraded to the kirawira lodge. The tented camp was great with views of the Serengeti, with excellent facilities and service. The early morning call brings a valet with your choice of tea or coffee with a muffin, the four poster bed in the tent is comfortable and endless hit water in the bathroom. Not...

As part of a safari group we spent 2 nights in this hilltop luxury tented camp. The location is fantastic, atop a hill with tremendous views and the occasional nocturnal african wildlife sounds to boot! For those unfamiliar with this sort of tented accommodation, the rooms / tents are on a permanent wooden platform with pole framed ripstop canvas. The...
