I stayed for a couple of nights. I found the hotel overall quality and services below average considering their room rate. The room was small with the TV placed very high that you have to lay on the bed in order to watch it. However, the room had a working AC and fridge. The bathroom was okay. The wifi connection... Two of us stayed here for a few nights in May, 2016 before and after our trip to Lac Assal and Lac Abbe. It’s a charming, lovely place, in a quiet neighborhood, a bit far from downtown. The breakfasts are croissants, other breads, and coffee. There is no restaurant, but you can order in from a number of restaurants. The... More

We have spent 4 nights at Auberge le Heron in October 2015. The rooms are simple but clean with working air con and hot shower. There is a fridge in the rooms and the hotel gives the opportunity to cook in their guest kitchen or to order food from a range of restaurants that deliver. The Auberge is close to... More

This is a nice clean hotel that I would not hesitate to go back to. . The staff are friendly and the hotel has free wifi even in the rooms. The TVs also have a variety of English channels and so one can follow up on news despite Djibouti being a Franco phone country. The hotel only serves breakfast but... More

Stayed 3 nights at USD$67 a night in a very comfortable, clean and modern room with double bed (comfortable) chair and table, fridge, fan and aircon. Smallish shower with reasonable pressure and warm rather than hot water (which was fine given the outside temperature) Breakfast was a selection (3) of rolls and croissants with butter, jam and cheese. Plus tea... More

Easy, nice hotel. Nice neighbourhood and safe to walk in the evening. The hotel is a cheap oasis it an expensive city. The staff didn't speak well English, but a couple of the coworkers did ok. It says free airport shuttle on the Internet. It might be free, but the driver expect a solid tip. The same applies for the... More

Hi All, I just stayed in room 215, upper floor with a window. I would recommend this room. The place is clean. In fact spotless. But, I thought the service was bordering on rude (and I speak French. So we can rule out language issues. I will begrudgedly recommend the place as I don't believe there are good options in... More

Our first experience with Auberge LeHeron was that the via e-mail confirmed (free) Airport Shuttle did not show up at the airport. So we had to pay additional 15 US$ for the ride to LeHeron At the hotel we met a receptionist who spoke only French and I could hardly communicate with my old school French . We got the... More

Stayed here for two nights on a weekend trip outside of Ethiopia. The room was clean and included a TV, fridge, air-con, fan, and wifi. Showers came with one temperature, which was comfortable during the day, but chilly at night. Price included breakfast, which was simple but delicious - an assorted basket of baked goods. There was also a free... More
