I was posted on assignment in Maseru for roughly three weeks and Lancer's Inn was highly recommended. I was a bit sceptical at first as the bigger hotels seemed more appealing. But having stayed at Lancer's, it truly is a wonderful oasis right in the middle of the city. It's really a compound of detached and semi-detached flats, chalets and...

My work arranged my accommodations at Lancer's Inn during my first trip to Maseru. I was pleasantly surprised to find this wonderful place located in the middle of a very busy, not-so-nice looking area of the city. The compound is behind a high fence with a security guard at the entrance. I stayed in Chalet 3 for my 2-week trip....

We were warmly received and our waitress was very friendly and showed hospitality. Our food was great. Just our first dessert choice was not available. Hubby had lamb chops and I had chicken gordon bleu. Will return there.

Lancer's Inn is a collection of huts, flats and smaller rooms arranged irregularly in and around a pleasant garden all situated in a convenient location off the busy Pioneer Rd. The front office staff is good to mediocre, depending on who is on and performance of the rest of the staff tapers off markedly from there. I had a 2...

I have stayed at Lancer's Inn on four occasions. I love being able to sit outside in their patio restaurant surrounded by beautiful plants and flowers. I always choose to stay in a rondavel in the back of the property, down a pathway with roses often in bloom, birds singing, beautiful trees. The staff, all Basotho, are gracious and friendly...

General: The Lancer’s Inn has the potential to be a very good place to stay but it lets itself down by many silly, small things which could easily be fixed. I will cover most of these below but there are two things which are annoying immediately you arrive in the hotel; • Payment in Advance: you have to pay for...

Travelling to Lesotho, one has to stay at Lancers inn. It's a really nice place: good accomodations, placed aroud nice sunny gardens. There is lots of staff walking around (as everywhere in Lesotho), but they are all very polite and gentile. Lancers Inn has a professional image, for Lesotho standards. The 'boss' is a friendly guy, who is always willing...

Lancer's Inn is a shining oasis in Maseru. It is situated right in the center of town just about, with easy access to Pioneer Mall which has a Spur and Ocean Basket restaurants. The Inn itself is clean and well kept. The pool is sparkling and the grounds are beautifully maintained. The rooms are simple, but very clean and nicely...

I stayed here on business and was quite satisfied. The rondavel room was clean and quiet, the staff was friendly, the breakfast was good and the overall value was exactly what I expected. There was a group of noisy guests one night (3:30 am!), so sleep was impossible for a while. That group went to bed early the next night,...

Great setting in the centre of town. Not too noisy considering the venue, but one night the noise from the local night club went on till about 4 in the morning. The room was a rondawel with an uneven, sloping floor and a thatch roof. Spacious and nicely decorated with a fridge, which is always convenient for longer stays. The...
