I had dinner and lunch at the Tamboho hotel's restaurant. The dining room is small with only a few tables, but is very tastefully done. I especially appreciated the chairs which are very comfortable (not somehing I find often in Madagascar). The decoration at the reception area is also very nice. The food is good, but not great. The spring...

The hotel has a zen feel. It's in a very nice calm area unpolluted by noise and Smog. Very nice swimming pool and green garden with a small lake that attracts beautiful birds. Room is spacious, lovely bathroom and last not least, very good food.

very beautiful hotel set on the Tana waterfront, overlooking the lake. The rooms are awesome and the staff are very friendly. French, Malagasy and English are the main languages, so no confusion. The menu is very limited, so after a two week stay I found i had to look for alternative meals. Overall a beautiful place to relax after a...

I stayed at Tamboho for 12 nights while on a business trip. The location is lovely and I had a nice balcony that looked over the pool, lake, and rice fields. The restaurant serves good food and the buffet breakfast has a nice array of options, including fresh fruit juices. The location is also across the st from a small...

Is a modern smaller hotel in a gated community area. Is quieter area. Nicely arranged hotel. Room has everything that want - kettle, AC, screens, hairdryer. Modern bathroom. A calmer place to stay in Tana. The rooms at the back look out over the pool and a lovely little lake with an island and lots of birdsong. Somewhat weird is...

Lovely rooms, good service, sited overlooking a small lake so good for watching birds. Air-con was good and the wi-fi a tad slow but workable, whilst the restaurant was nicely sited, small scale and had very good service. I had not stayed here before but I will be back.

I stayed here for six nights in November 2016. I had a room which opened onto the lovely granite lined pool. Four steps and I was at poolside. Breakfasts are included:eggs (ask for these) made to order, and a full buffet of fruit, cheeses, meats, rice, beans, tartes, bread, jams and so on. The location on a private compound allows...

We stopped for lunch, which was very good, tasty and well-presented. The caramelised pork chop and the pakchoy and goat's cheese salad are recommended. The staff were excellent. The dining room overlooked a large pond and rice fields and we were well entertained by the birdlife.

I have stayed here twice in the last month. The first time resulted in an inferior room with little light in the bathroom and a mirror that was mounted on the wrong wall for anyone wanting to shave or put on makeup (located on ground floor). The second time resulted in an improved room (2nd floor) and a better lit...
