A superb location. Staff ever smiling and so helpful.Special thanks to Mr and Mrs Thakrar for undivided attention in every area of the hotel. Currently going through a revamp but with what is current they go above and beyond to satisfy needs. No better place to unwind after a long haul flight or road trip. The Indian cuisine is fantastic...

Woodlands Lilongwe Hotel Restaurant From previous reviews, one might be justified in thinking I’m a disaffected curmudgeon. True in some matters... but I try to write honest and balanced reviews that readers can trust; isn’t that the point, after all? Being an Englishman resident in Singapore and a frequent traveller to the sub-continent, I like to think I know a...

I staid at Woodlands now three times in the past 2 month, first time it was all nice, second time we had to notice the bathroom wasn't clean at all and the price increased, when asked they told me that they made a mistake on our first visit! Now on our third and last stay, the room wasn't swiped, bathroom...

Just had the Portuguese steak, nicely tender - if it wasn't for the poor seasoning I would have given them 5 stars. Will definitely come back so they can redeem themselves and would gladly recommend to anyone. They do both continental and Indian cuisine - that's also a nice touch. The waiter, Gift, was very nice and made sure to...

Chalets fine, a bit dark and far to go down the garden. Location felt a bit far away from everything, but This is the only place I've been in Lilongwe, so have nothing to compare to. Maybe just the character of the city: spread out.

This lovely retreat is close to town. Amazing to be in the bush within 5 minutes from the city. The rooms are well appointed with cable tv. The food is divine. Staff are friendly and efficient. Roaring lions can be heard in background, monkeys roam the estate and I even had an evening visit from an antelope outside my chalet....

Pleasant, peaceful spot, surprisingly quiet given proximity to city centre; shady flat camp pitches with large ablution block; nice restaurant and pool area; bush babies and monkeys provide entertainment. Reasonably pricey for what it is; the local nature reserve is devoid of any nature of note.

Had small dinner. With our young kids. Nice terrace. Delicious Indian curry (cooked by Indian chefs) and good soups. Waiters super friendly and good service. Very fair value. Set in lush forest. Recommended. Also goo with the kids , since they have space to run around. Accept visa

Never stayed here, but met someone for breakfast. The property is near the national park, so you can hear the wild animals at night. One of our colleague stayed here and enjoyed it. Had breakfast here, and it was good.
