This Hotel is located in the central part of the city.Convenient location. The hotel shuttle picked me up at the Airport on time. The hotel Lobby looked great and check in staff were very friendly. The rooms are very old, falling apart and very basic. Not worth the price, if you are comparing it with other destinations. But being a frequent traveler to... It’s kind of a funny place. When I entered the hotel lobby, I really liked it. It was clean and nice. It gave me a good feeling about the place. But as soon as I started talking to the person on the reception it kind of vanished. The reception staff gave himself a 300 MZN tip from my side. My... More

From the moment the taxi stopped in front of the hotel and I had a quick look at the shabby doormat at the front entrance if the hotel, I knew deep in my heart that I was going to dislike everything about the place. It's in the middle of town, and so the surrounding area is VERY noisy, so if... More

This is not an easy place to review, but taking all aspects into consideration, I still find it acceptable. It is grossly overpriced, but then again so is all other hotels in Maputo and depending on your budget, this is unfortunately to be consider good Maputo-value... Rooms are old and in dire need of an upgrade, but my room was... More

I stayed at the Hotel Moçambicana for business for four nights in May 2014. The building is in need of substantial repairs and this gives the overall impression that the management and staff do not care much. The room I stayed in is basic with a good mattress, clean bedding and a small balcony. There is also good mosquito screens... More

We stayed a couple of night and our experience is: - Rude and unfriendly staff. - The bed was extremely inconfortable and we ended up with painin our back - Extremely noisy room (trafic, people shoutingin hte middle... I was here in November last year, since things haven't got better. Still poor restaurant, torned menu, remote AC was missing (to repare, but nothing was repared) so very hot in the room Now I had room 701, expensive (4600 Meticais) and staff is disinterested.

Despite many negative reviews, the hotel is not so bad. It is overpriced as many hotel in the city, so no surprise for that (3350 meticais a double = 90 eur). The bed, the bathroom, the linen and the towels were clean. Breakfast wasn't the best possible, but edible. Thumb down for wifi service, already on second floor the signal... More

I was booked into this hotel and was told that it's not too bad (this was a plan B). The hotel itself isn't that bad, it's quite old and the elevators are a bit scary, but overall the feel of the hotel is nice. But because of rude and incompetent staff, I will never set foot in that place again.
