We stayed 2 nights at Airport Lodge. The two ladies who looked after us were very friendly, but overall this place is a bit ru-down and shabby. Poor information on pricing, messy toilets which were not cleaned, and we waited 40 minutes in the heat at the security gate when we came back from Windhoek before giving up, leaving our...

My husband and I have visited Namibia numerous times, and we always start and end at Airport Lodge. It's halfway between the airport and Windhoek, but a great place to unwind and pack for home. The rooms are comfortable and large, and if you wish, you can request utensils for self catering (cooking yourselves.) We love the birds and other...

Despite its name, this lodge is less than half-way to the airport, it is a good 20 minute drive to get there (30 from town). If your objective is to be AT the airport for an early flight, this is definitely NOT the place (that is the Etango Ranch accross the B6 from the tarminal, but much more expensive). The...

This lodge is very close to the airport, which was what we were looking for. We loved the landscape and the fact that there were animals around. Nooky the Oryx is as tame as a puppy and seeing so close an impressive animal like him was a pleasure. The owner and reception staff were not too friendly, but Zake (the...

This lodge is conveniently close to the airport and works if you have your own vehicle. The staff (one was all we could determine) were terrible. On arrival at 9pm at night the main access gate was locked shut, no one answered the intercom, and we had to drive to the nearest police road block to use a local phone...

We had a reservation for Airport Lodge. We arrived at 1PM and the place was closed. There was no one at the front gate. The intercom was broken. Called the cell phone numbers listed on the sign, and there was no answer. We waited for someone to come, but no one ever did. After a long time, we had no...

Very good solution not far from the airport. The airport is far from the city so this is a good solution out of town to feel namibian atmosphere till last or from the first night. Cheap, nice and coMfortable rooms. Very good game fillet. Wifi available just around the office. Nice landscape with wild animals. The gate is closed at...

The Airport Lodge is comfortable, very laid back. Beautiful views and chance to see animals up close and personal. The staff is friendly. We were able to get a room over the phone at short notice in trasit on a Sunday. The room is clean, beds comfortable, hot and cold water. Price is very reasonable.

A nice, quiet lodge, located only 22km from WIndhoek airport, with pleasant chalets set in beautiful, wide-open landscape, i.e. very suitable for short stop-overs and early airport runs. it seems there are worries about security: remote-controlled gates, shuttered doors and burglar-barred windows ... and there we thought Windhoek was quite safe?! The breakfast was poor and overpriced, dinner also quite...

“I only saw our room... so cannot judge.... but from the look and size of the bungalows they all seemed the same. If you are travelling in a group (e.g. 4 people requiring 2 rooms) ask to be in the same bungalow - each bungalow has 2 separate rooms.”
