We booked a tour and they took us to Na'an ku se lodge and wild sanctuary. What an amazing experience. The trip to the area was not too far from Windhoek and you still can experience amazing wildlife. Our guide are so informative and had explained us in details about the animal in the sanctuary. They offer several type of...

I Think this is the only place in Namibia credibly providing a holistic wildlife experience by integrating the experience with Bushmen/San tribesmen mode of living, hunting, and survival skills. We visited in December 2016 and it was a great experience , the offroad drive after you leave the tarred road is awesome in itself. Kudos to the staff and the...

We stayed in Naankuse for only one night on our way out of Namibia. We wish we would have stayed longer. Wonderful reserve with beautiful scenery. We were able to visit the San Bushmen during the afternoon and it was an amazing and unique experience for us and our kids. The food at the lodge was excellent and they gave...

This is one of the most magnificent and special places I've ever stayed at. Our only regret is that it was for only one night. If you are considering N/a'an ku se Lodge please stay more than one night. The houses/units are huge and comfortable, we also befriended an Ostrich that was very friendly (we called him George,) that roamed...

The wildlife sanctuary is truly a fantastic place to visit and learn more about the surrounding wildlife. The staff is amazing and you can clearly see they care about these animals and their protection.

This was the perfect end to our 2 week holiday in Namibia. Attention to detail, while being sustainable in every aspect. Villas are lovely and private, in nature, and the Namibian sky was once again spectacular Jan ,, our" boesman" guide was so interesting and his work ethic nothing but commendable. All the staff (koi-san) are so professional and friendly....

We had such a fabulous time at N/a'ankuse! Just driving into the lodge, we saw lots of antelope species and giraffes! The rooms are beautifully appointed and felt luxurious in a rustic wa. The back porch was a wonderful place to sit and watch for wildlife. The pool area with the canyon view is incredible. We saw rock dassies and...

We spent two nights here before flying home. Loved the chalet design and visits from Fudge, the resident cat. Spending time with the wilder animals was also a big treat. Very good food and the pool was a luxury. Super friendly and helpful staff, and they must have been run off their feet, it being the last week of the...

We did the following tours from morning till noon: ceetahs, small animals and San people intro; the animals seem very well taken care of, their "houses" spacious & colourful. We had a tasty lunch afterwards.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The N/a’an ku se Lodge & Wildlife Sanctuary is near the Airport and central Windhoek, on a 3.200 hectare big reserve. We offer Carnivore Feeding Tours, Bushman stories and stargazing dinners, Cheetah experiences and a “Behind the Scenes with Marlice” tour. Choose to stay in one of our six individual chalets or one of our eight exclusive holiday homes. We offer a dining area with award-winning cuisine, stunning views, bar and swimming pool. A delightful blend of rich ethnicity and modern luxury. The N/a’an ku se Lodge is the only Charity Lodge in Namibia, all profits from our lodge are returned back to our charitable projects. N/a’an ku se supports the local San community and activities are led by the local San. Volunteers looking to help with conservation can join the Volunteer Program offered on the N/a’an ku se Wildlife Sanctuary. The program offers volunteers the rare and exciting opportunity to work closely with and actively participate in the conservation of African wildlife. Volunteers can stay from 2 weeks to 3 months and will have the unique experience to care for our wildlife including a number of lions, leopards, cheetahs, wild dogs, caracals and baboons and many more, kept at the Sanctuary because they can unfortunately not be released into the wild again. Both experiences will leave you with great memories of Namibia while aiding in our conservation efforts which better the lives of the local San Bushmen and our animals. The N/a’an ku se Lodge & Wildlife Sanctuary is the ideal place to stay at the beginning or the end of your journey through Namibia. ... more   less
