Hate to give even an average rating... But it was a little pricey and surprising to have only one shared bathroom, which was a fair distance from the nice pool area. The bathroom was very clean and modern, but only serves one at a time, although the bathroom and shower are separated. May have been totally different experience if an...

Many thanks for taking the time to write your review, and point taken regarding the shared bathroom facilities. It sounds as though you were in Room number 2 which is the only one with shared facilities outside the main house (4 rooms + 1 single guide room share that bathroom). We do only sell that room when everything else is...

This time I arrived the guest house quite late and didn't stay for a long time, but I definitely wanted to stay again next time. The room was nicely decorated and cozy. The bedroom was spacious and bathroom as well. The shower and bathtub were separate and pressure of the water was also fair. It also has a shared kitchen...

Spent two night (separated by a 3 day Safari) here. Initially my partner and I had Room 7, downstairs off the carpark. This room is ok, actually has its own kitchen area and Air Conditioning. Sleep was ok, bed was creaky, so we kept waking each other .... Second of our one night experiences we were in Room 3. Oh...

Many thanks for posting your review, it's really useful for us to be able to hear about things which were not as they should have been so that we can sort them out ASAP. Just to confirm, the room you stayed in at first was the Flat (unfortunately we don't have a more imaginative name for it; Room 7 is...

The place is lovely and charming, in a very convenient and safe location. My room was large, full of light, with the right colonial flavour. The staff was just great: I lost my watch, they found and returned it to me even if I had already left.

Very helpful reception staff, booked us a restaurant and (expensive) taxi. The room was a bit tired and it's actually a backpacker's hostel but it's perfectly fine for a night or two whether you're just arriving in or about to leave Windhoek.

Many thanks for your review, we are checking to see if we can determine which room you stayed in so that we can see what we can do to improve and upgrade it. Maintenance is always an ongoing project with guest houses, and we have been so busy this peak season that it's sometimes difficult to block time off for...

Very nice comfortable guesthouse near the centre of Windhoek. the owner told us the neighbourhood was not safe to walk, but we didn't notice any kind of mugging. Very nice continental breakfast can be ordered. Kitchen and lunch/dining room, terrace available for visitors. Overall much apreciated guesthouse, our first experience in Namibia was very good.

We stayed this lovely place twice in July, both when arriving to Windhoek and after travelling around the country. We especially loved all the small things that were thought about - cake for coffee time, the hot water warmer for the night, I could buy a red wine for my food, the staff were always helpful with helping us order...

We stayed for 2 nights in the Rivendell Guest House. Good location, easy to find. Quiet area, a few kilometers from the center of Windhoek. Self catering facilities. Very helpfull staff with providing information, assistance for sorting things out with agencies and planning/booking trips. Clean, nice spacy rooms.

Great location with relaxed atmosphere. Very friendly staff. Room was basic but had everything that was needed - everything was very clean. Lovely breakfast spread: choice between continental and English breakfast. We opted for the continental breakfast with fresh fruit, grains and muesli, yoghurt, toasted bread and all kinds of fresh jam. Great value for money!

A slight mix up on arrival on rooms was soon rectified and compensated with provision of an apartment on our last day with all amenities. The staff here were excellent attentive and supportive and every morning an excellent breakfast was provided. Laundry and amenities were good. This is very much the place you want to stay before embarking on a...
