The grounds of the lodge are very nice, interesting and well-tended. Impala wander around cropping the plants. The bungalows are tastefully designed in the local style, with neat thatch and pale yellow hues. Each one has a little back patio with a bench and table. The pool is small but clean and refreshing. The bed was comfortable, though if you`re...

Needing to get away room the bustle of city life we craved a weekend of ,quietness, tranquility, nature and peace. we found all of this at Immanuel lodge.... Immanuel lodge is situated just 10 minutes outside Windhoek city but it could have been hundreds of miles away as we completely forgot we were so close to the city. The rooms are simply...

2016 was our third stay at Immanuel wilderness lodge close to Windhoek. It is a perfect place to start or finish the holidays. Especially after a night flight it's wise to rest one night close to the airport or the place you pick-up your rental car. If you don't like to stay than in Windhoek but in the beginning wilderness,...

Excellent food with a lot of attention to detail. The breakfast included a selection of craft cheese not readily available elsewhere. The owner were helpful in giving ideas what to visit in Windhoek. Roadworks on highway to Windhoek is hampering access at the moment.

We and our friends started our trip to Etosha with a stay over at this lodge. The owners were very welcoming and the food was very tasteful prepared by the lodge owner. The rooms are a bit far from the lodge with no security at all. We experienced an armed robbery in Room nr 1 the morning of 1st April...

This is a small holding nearby the police checkpoint on the road north out of Windhoek. There’s nothing particularly “wilderness” about it. The rooms are nice, but the ventilation was poor, and we did not sleep well. There’s a lot of bright flood lighting on the property that really spoils the ambience the owners have tried to create. The high...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Welcome to Immanuel Lodge. An oasis of tranquility in the Namibian savannah. We're located just minutes from the city of Windhoek, but you wouldn't guess it. Out here in the bush, it feels like you're a thousand miles from anywhere. Breathe in the clean, crisp air. Gaze out across the grassy plains that stretch to the horizon beneath an endless blue sky. This is the real Namibia - the landscapes, the animals, the people. The Immanuel Wilderness Lodge lets you experience it all up close, without sacrificing comfort. We're a family-run business that offers quality amenities, a "gemütlich" atmosphere and award winning German-African cuisine. So join us. Come to relax, to unwind, to discover. Immerse yourself in the mystery and majesty of the Namibian wilderness. Our rooms offer cosy comfort and a rustic, authentic Namibian atmosphere. The thatched roofs and ceiling fans keep the temperature pleasant year round, whether you're visiting in the hot months of summer or the middle of winter. All rooms have their own ensuite bathroom with 24-hour hot water. While the sublime surroundings may tempt you to sit back with a good book and relax all day, there's so much more to explore in the local area. We offer guided tours to nearby farms, where you'll see the mythical wildlife for which Africa is famous, such as lions, leopards and cheetahs. The Kavango carver's market is a great place to experience local artisan culture and pick up some souvenirs. And just 20km to the south lies Windhoek, the nation's capital, with its colourful streets and distinctive German atmosphere. Immanuel Wilderness Lodge is perfectly situated in a central location.
