This was our treat at the end of a 14 day camping trip. We arrived late afternoon and had to leave very early the next morning to get to the airport for our flight to Cape Town. Our room was lovely with great decor. There is Wifi in the rooms but we got better reception sitting by the fountain in...

We stayed at Olive Grove on our first night of our self drive tour of Nambia. There is secure parking and our room (top floor luxury) was very comfortable. A large bedroom and bathroom with a lounge area. It is uniquely styled which gave us an insight of what to expect during our stay in Namibia. The breakfast covered all...

After a long and tedious day of delayed flights and border issues I was so grateful to finally be able to relax and unwind for a night before heading off on a 3 week cross country driving safari. I arrived late and the kitchen was closed, but they were very accommodating and saw to it I had a good meal...

We stayed for one night in this lovely guest house and also ate at their amazing restaurant. The food was a fixed menu of the day that was delicious. 300 per person 3 courses, and it was delicious! We would also recommend a night because the rooms are just perfect! Carefully prepared and decorated. For more tips about Windhoek follow...

The rooms really didn't live up to expectations after seeing the photographs on line. Shower, double sink, bath, bed base and floors all polished concrete and gave it a unfinished look. No wardrobe or drawers in bedroom and clothes were supposed to be hung on a rack behind a curtain. No curtain lining on the large window & door which...

Olive Grove is a great waypoint to settle and gather your bearings before you depart on your Namibian safari trip. The rooms are clean, comfortable and safe, centrally located to all the great restaurants in Windhoek. All tour operators seem to use the Olive Grove as pickup and drop off point. They offer breakfast, lunch and dinner on a beautiful...

Olive Grove is a real charming Guesthouse in a nice area in Windhoek. Cars can be parked on the property. The staff is very helpful. The rooms are in a tasteful design. Overall a good place either to start or to end your Namibia trip.

The room #8 we had was the worst of our trip in Namibia. For the price charged we expected much better. We had booked a twin bedroom and were give a standard double. The toilet was separated by just a curtain from the bedroom and had no ventilation which meant any smells pervaded the bedroom. There was a window at...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Olive Grove is a small upmarket accommodation establishment situated close to the city center in a quiet, peaceful area. The guesthouse takes homely atmosphere to a different level. Recently completely refurbished, each room has been decorated and painted with new colour schemes allowing a different feel, but with the same elegant and simplistic emphasis on decor. The open-plan kitchen allows guests to see how meals are prepared, while they enjoy a drink in the lounge. The menu was also reinvented and is now fully a la carte, quite unique for a guesthouse. Home-style food is rounded off with great presentation, pushing up the level of the guesthouse dining experience. Whilst each of the eleven rooms and one suite cater for every need of the most discerning traveller, the emphasis remains one of simplicity and elegance. ... more   less
