The setting is great and we had a wonderful evening with a great sunset on the terrace with great views, food was much improved from previous visits and the service was excellent, thank you very much to Jackson.

We recently stayed here for only one night as our first night in Namibia. We wanted some thing nice before we went off camping and we were not disappointed. This was a really nice little hotel at the edge of town with great views of the surrounding hills. Our room was large and clean with very effective air conditioning. They...

We had drinks and a light lunch at the hotel and have to admit that this was the best service and the best quality food we had during our entire stay in Windhoek. Well done. The great view obviously adds to the already great experience.

We wanted to have a quiet and relaxing afternoon. Hotel Thule provided a cool outdoor pub area with plenty of beers and cool drinks. The service was prompt and professional. The views over the town is great and enhances the general experience.

This was a fantastic hotel that I stayed at November, 2016 for business. I would without hesitation recommend this location if you want a unique place to stay with beautiful views. The rooms are excellent, but you need to look at them with an African lens, not an American or European lens. I've stayed several places in town and this...

The hotel is located high up a hill above Windhoek and has a nice view overlooking the city. Reception and service could be friendlier. Everything goes slow. We had a buffet lunch here with a choice of fish and meat and some vegetables. Although a limited choice, the food was good. The rooms at check-in time were not ready but...

Dear Reviewer Thank you for your review of Hotel Thule. With regards to the check-in time, please do take note that check-out times are 10:00 and check-in is only at 14:00. Freeing rooms up for early check-in is not always possible, even if we try our best to get rooms clean as soon as possible. The safe was also checked...

We were there only for sundowner/dinner. Meeting with friend for a sundowner on the terrace with a great view over Windhoek. Very caretaking and friendly staff which made comfort zone out of it. Some delicious snacks, cold beer, what do you want more? Will come back

We came here for a business meeting/dinner with colleagues. We had a beautiful and breathtaking view of the city sunset - a must see for travellers. The food portions are quite small so it may help to have a 3 course meal. They do serve complimentary salads in between meals though. Great service from the waiter, thank you Immanuel!

Stayed here for one night earlier this week on business and was very pleased with the agent's choice of hotel. The hotel is well-located - within 4 minutes drive of the city centre and the room was comfortable - much needed aircon [was 35 degrees Celsius when we landed]; free fast WiFi; all necessary body gels, shampoos, hairdryer, etc. Only...

We stayed at the Thule for a pre-booked one night recently, and were so impressed that we returned there a week later for another night. Our room was superb, with a dressing room and enormous, well-equipped bathroom. The situation of the hotel atop a hill overlooking Windhoek is fabulous. We had dinner there on both occasions, and breakfast on the...

Hotel Thule was originally a one-time luxury home built by the late Edmund Lafrenz in 1960 as a sumptuous home for himself and his late wife, Liselotte. It was purchased by Windhoek businessman and entrepreneur, Wolfgang Egerer just before the turn of the century, who then reconstructed it into the beautiful up-market 25 bedroom hotel it is today. The outstanding panoramic views over Windhoek are a unique and unparalleled feature of this pearl of Namibia.
