Lovely hotel in a fabulous location, with a very unique history. The food is OK, and service is adequate. Don't rely on them if you need to wake up - set your own alarm. Underwhelming as a crown jewel hotel. Functional and acceptable, but not extraordinary.

Probably the best hotel in the capital. Although not first rate, it has all the amenities that a business traveller would expect. It is hard not to sadly reminisce the 1994 genocide with the name of this hotel, as radio Mille collines was an agitprop for the genocide, but this is truly the city of the thousand green hills. And...

My husband and I stayed at Hotel des Milles Collines the week of July 26. We were met late in the evening with hot towels and cool juice to refresh us as we checked in. The service during our stay could not be improved upon. The staff at the well stocked breakfast were especially welcoming and attentive. The hotel is...

Considering you are in Rwanda, Africa and this is the infamous hotel from the movie "Hotel Rwanda." The service and amenities are very good. The new owners have remodeled and fought hard to overcome a difficult identity crisis. There are five star hotels you can stay in right around the corner. You will pay more and feel like you are...

I'd like to give the Mille Collines a 'good' rather than average, but 'very good' is a bit of a stretch. Beds are comfortable, the pool looks lovely, and the food is good. But the showers in both my rooms (2 stays this month) were moldy, shower curtain needed replacement (moldy), the water didn't drain and the lack of a...

This is a really nice hotel, great staff excellent service. The rooms were spotless well equipped and spacious, beds were very comfortable. We ate in the roof top restaurant which was beautiful with views over the city, excellent food and reasonable value. On another night we ate at the poolside bar again the food was excellent and very good value....

Went there for its historical value (refer to the movie Hotel Rwanda). Its ok; the room was average size and the service was decent. I would be content if the price was slightly lower. I didnt feel that I got the value of my money.

A wonderful hotel. You're sure to have a pleasant stay here. I stayed there for a one full day only but enjoyed it. Restaurant is overall nice but the food is fantastic. The steak I ate is probably the best I had. Highly recommended. You'll love the place.

I stayed at the Des Collines last week for 2 nights. The price is very high for a hotel whose decor is shabby and outdated. The bed collapsed when I sat on it (one of the legs was broken) and the bathroom dates back to the 80's, by the looks of things. The corridors of the hotel are not even...

I had a very unpleasant experience staying here and was very disappointed by the level of service. I had brought my family who were visiting from out of town. This was meant to be a treat at a nicer hotel in town, but the concierge staff was so unhelpful and the wait staff at the restaurants were never around. I...
