My boyfriend and I have stayed at this hotel 3-4 times now and each time, the service and rooms were consistent and clean. This is the best hotel you will find for a 40-60$ per night budget. The rooms are huge and the shower works well (is hot) and you even get a fridge in most rooms. The only downside...

We had the vip twin room in August 2014. While the beds were very large, the room backed onto a service courtyard of the next building which smelt all day and night of sewerage and was noisy in early morning. Bathroom was water logged, slippery and dirty. The bed sheets were old and needed a wash. The restaurant was good,...

The owners and staff of this hotel are wonderful. It was easy to make my reservation before arrival, and they were there, as promised, to pick me up from the airport for a reasonable price. My room was spotless, comfortable, and huge. The bed was large, and very comfortable, with a fan and a mosquito net. Wireless internet, although slow,...

Indian-owned, Dream Apple is rather good. It’s nothing flashy but very convenient. It’s one block south of the Okapi by the main roundabout where the Nakumatt and the post office are, and on the same road that leads down to Nyabugogo bus station (20-minute walk downhill from Dream Apple). I stayed at the Dream Apple for a few nights –...

We stayed two days in this Motel and had a mixed experience. There is still some work to do for the new owners. Prices are ok, rooms are spacious and the double beds are huge. The place is not so clean (especially the bathroom) and shower lacks power (small stream of water). Staff is helpful though, we got a new...

...I know most of the other places too. The Dream Inn has a new owner since six months; An Indian family with nice Rwandan staff, and the place has become less noisy since. The rooms are clean and more comfortable than in other budget hotels. You won’t catch bugs like on other places’ mattresses (in the neighbourhood). If you book...

For many weekends i used to stay in Okapi, just few minutes away, which seemed like a decent place until i discovered Dream Apple. Only now i realize i was ripped off actually in Okapi. Dream has wide selection of rooms, including apartments. I have seen 5-6 rooms, they all seem clean and with solid furniture, usual basic bathroom. Some...
