I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Djoloff Hotel. I stayed there for 3 nights in October 2016, and I highly recommend it. I've traveled extensively in Africa and when you hear 'boutique hotel', it could go either way and in the case of the Djoloff, it was accurate and a total hit. The hotel is clean, quiet and safe... I have stayed at a few (luxury) hotels in Dakar and can say without hesitation that this is my fave (boutique) place to stay and this is where I would stay the next time I come through. Great rooftop terrace views, evening cocktails, and charming little rooms.

I loved this hotel. The staff were all very friendly, very willing to help. There is security at night, the grounds are beautiful, the food is delicious. I would come here and stay again and again. Unfortunately it is 2016 and a place with a weak internet/WIFI connection is a game changer. There were a number of times I could... More

The most special thing about the Hotel Le Djoloff is the people. They are friendly and helpful and will make staying a joy. The location is ideal. Situated near the ocean, it is close to the university and a short taxi ride downtown. Perhaps the best part of the hotel is the rooftop terrace. It is a nice place to... More

Stayed here for the first time, can't imagine a better place! The staff is great! Breakfast, lunch and dinner are great. WiFi is a little shotty, but certain places have really strong connections. Nice little store in the lobby. Can't recommend it enough!

I've eaten here a few times, and am SO pleased to see an expansion of their vegetarian tapa options - I'll definitely be back more often now! It's tasty food served in a tranquil, natural clay though stylish rooftop terrace, by zen servers. What more can one ask for? The options are also imaginative beyond most places in town -... More

Nice hotel in quiet part of town. Staff very friendly. Rooftop bar nice you can just see the sea. Avoid the annex if you can its not as nice. Food superb, I mean really good. Building work not a major issue, but you are aware it us happening

The hotel is small and located in a quiet side street, close to the coast in the center of the city. staff is friendly and efficient, and the (rather dark and small) room was tastefully decorated and offered a table with chair, stable wifi, appropriate air conditioning and a comfortable bed. The bathroom was very well equipped and clean. The... More

Good location, comfortable rooms, very pleasant rooftop restaurant and bar. Dakar can be rather overwhelming, and this hotel is a pleasant, relaxing oasis from the streets. Taxi queue just down the street, a few restaurants and hotels within walking distance.

I have stayed repeatedly at Hotel Le Djoloff. I have booked large groups of colleagues at Hotel Le Djoloff. Everyone loves this place. The location is great - a bit off-the-beaten path in the neighbourhood of Fann-Hock but near plenty: the fish market, craft market, university. The hotel is beautifully appointed but certain amenities (e.g., a pool) are not to... More
