I stayed in Novotel Dakar for 10 nights during a business trip in Senegal. Location wise, it is ideally located nearby the administrative center, where most ministries and governmental offices are. The beach is also few steps away, and you can walk to the pier from which the ferry goes to the beautiful Gorée island (must do if you have...

I've been in many hotels in Africa and this one is really an hotel with european standards. It lacks a special character but it's clean, confortable, in a good location and nice staff. And it's not expensive as compared with what one usually gets in african capitals. Rooms are spacious, with a safe and a mini-bar. TV has lots of...

As all the Western chaine hotels in Dakar, the Novotel offers a quiet hide-away from the real Africa out there. This of course also means that you won't feel Africa in there. Given the location on the Plateau, you might expect cool views of the Ocean or the City, but the windows of this hotel are quite small (OK, to...

I just spent 4 nights at the Novotel in Dakar and was very satisfied. The hotel has been recently remodeled and tastefully done. The rooms are on the smallish side, but well appointed and mine had a great view of the ocean. The wifi is free and pretty fast. The breakfast is very good with great coffee, fresh juice and...

The hotel was great, new and modern, very trendy and upscale, but for the price, considering other African hotels and amenities, not worth the pretty penny. The pool was nice, and the bar great, though expensive. The rooms were a bit small, though the small fridge and nice LCD TV were a plus, but very small rooms, though modernly furnished....

We stayed for one night and it was our most pleasant of three hotels in Senegal. The room, while small, was spotless, comfortable, and modern to the point of being hip. The lobby and lobby bar are quite nice. The pool is pleasant and a spacious enough place to spend an afternoon, though it nothing special. The hotel is in...

We spent 2 nights at the Novotel in Dakar, Nice location and hip decor. Nice pool and excellent breakfast. Rooms were clean and nicely appointed. Quite. Despite the fact that the hotel was empty, and I asked for a room with a view (IN FRENCH), we were given a room overlooking a wall. Mattresses were very narrow. The hotel is...
