The rooms are very basic, and although need a little work, are adequate for a short term affordable stay, especially if you are en route from or to the airport which is very close by. The dining area has super views out onto the rocks and sea, but be warned that moving to the small beach tables out front provide...

Very good location, being so close to the airport. I had a bit of an issue getting picked up from the airport... the driver arranged by the hotel didn't wait and returned to the hotel, but once I'd managed to speak to them he came back! Rooms are basic but they are charging for the location! As with anywhere in...

I speak English and don't speak Wolof or French. I had trouble communicating with the staff. Our driver who spoke Wolof had trouble communicating with the staff too (e.g., the hotel staff had trouble providing driving directions to the hotel!). It was $70 USD per night for triple occupancy. Nice bar, but expensive prices. We were attacked by insects inside...

If you are a teen, or if you are an alcoholic or love partying and love the beach, this is most definitely the place for you. The place is affordable as compared to other safe places. The bed is not comfortable, and you need to ask them to spray for mosquitto's - the food was very average, but the staff...

We.were given a reference for this hotel by a peace corps volunteer since hotel was near airport. We had problems finding the hotel firstly. upon check-in, we were told WiFi was included. When we were shown into a small mustly room that lacked a mosquito net over the beds. That evening, we were forced to open our window for air....

Being an English only speaker I found Cap Ouest a great place to hang out for an evening beer and the occasional meal. The grilled fish was superb. The hotel/restaurant was very clean with friendly staff .This area of Yoff, including the beach area, is a very safe and friendly environment. I stayed within walking distance of the hotel and...

Great place if you want a basic hotel and a more authentic Africa experience, as well as safety and cleanliness. I always stay here when I'm in Dakar. If you like fancy U.S.-style hotels this is not for you. Think of this as sort of like staying in the African version of the Motel 6, without the little bottles of...

The Hotel Cap Ouest, is a very clean an charismatic hotel situated withinwaling distance of the airport and in front of the beach. It has a decent internet wireless access connection, and the ambience is relaxed and almost quiet! The relation price-quality s also good.

Cap Ouest was a nice little budget hotel on the beach in Yoff Senegal, near Dakar. If you have traveled to West Africa before you know not to expect to much, so knowing this my stay in Cap Ouest was ok. Almost no one in Senegal speaks English, so unless you do ,or your "other half "does, i wouldn't advise...
