It is very true that in this place you can feel at "home away from home". I travel very much for work and I never received the impeccable assistance that I received at Acropole. It was my first time in Sudan and they sent an agent to pick me up at the visa area, where he took care of all...

First hotel in Khartoum. Its an old hotel so for a nostalgic like me, its amazing. It has good wifi, great service, free laundary, chocolates on your pillow and smiles that never die. It is in the middle of the city center. Most of the rooms have balconies, althought some of the balconies dont have anything exciting. A few of...

Sudan for a vacation - will we; won't we? Having seen the sources of the Blue and White Niles in Ethiopia and Uganda respectively, on previous vacations, their confluence in Khartoum proved irresistible and so the search for in country help commenced. This very quickly led to the Acropole Hotel and its proprietor, George. All the hassle and uncertainty of...

The Acropole is a basic but comfortable hotel in central Khartoum. Its room rates are somewhat high for a basic hotel in Africa and more on a par with Europe. My room had no windows and was thus somewhat oppressive but it was clean and comfortable and included air conditioning and a television. Breakfast was included in the price and...

I was in Khartoum for work between April 8 and April 12th and stayed at the Acropole. The part of town seemed quite interesting and nothing to ride home about. However, i soon discovered that the area and its charm lies in the management of Acropole. A lovely family, they give one the family treatment from beginning to end. The...

I had a very positive experience in my visit to the Acropole Hotel. From the minute I arrived to the moment that I left, the level of hospitality and service was excellent. The rooms were spotlessly clean and the food in the hotel was also really tasty and at an affordable price. I ended up eating all my meals there,...

Just had lunch at the hotel which was fair value for the money. Then went on the City Tour from the hotel which was excellent and took in the Presidential Musuem and the whirling dervishes which were must see attractions.

The 1st impression is of an old hotel in a rather dusty street. However, this is soon overcome by the hospitality and courtesy of the owners and staff. There was someone there to greet and meet me at 4 AM and to ensure that I was comfortable. Basically nothing is too much trouble. Registration is done promptly and I would...
