I stayed at Hotel Bougainviller for almost 3 months in early 2015 and loved it. The staff, especially Miriam and Patrick, are incredibly friendly, hospitable and helpful. They made me feel as though I was home. The architecture and layout of the hotel is superb; you walk inside and have no idea you're still in a hectic African city. The...

Charming little place with beautiful rooms (at least the ones I stayed in). Nice restaurant and all round feel of the place is relaxing. I've read some of the other reviews which have complained about TV screens and lack of channels etc. That may be an issue for some but this is certainly a stand out hotel (amongst the more...

Have been using the Hotel for over 4 years. During this time the hotel has been upgraded and is good value for money compard to other hotels in Kampala. Some recent staff changes have improved the service standard. The major problem is the very poor internet access that is just so so slow. It has now become a big problem...

Have stayed there three times for business now and it is a haven in a bustling city - you need to adjust every time you leave the front door as it is truly a haven in a hectic busy noisy chaotic city. The food in the restaurant is fresh and tasty, the location is excellent and the rooms (though expensive...

The rooms did not have screens and they had holes in nets. How can that be when they charge over $100?? At least they could have a proper screen. The rooms were very small, and way over priced. The lady at front desk was nice but for the most part the service sucked. The food was ok, but also overpriced...

Also its a very beautiful hotel - lots of well kept flowers in the gardens. Breakfast and dinner - very good. Rooms are big - i think - as i...

Le Bougainviller is a very pleasant retreat from the bustle of Kampala. Service is punctual and friendly. Food is decent and the set up of the rooms is very tasteful and esthetic. Much greenery and lush vegetation in the annex across the street. Internet is a bit haphazard.

Wonderful hotel set up like a town with cobblestone streets, a large, well-furnished room, and an outside private lounge attached. My room didn't have a phone, unfortunately, and the dining room was ok, but I loved my room(s).

I came here with a big group of friends. The rooms are wonderful and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Has a Mediterranean vibe, it is so cute and relaxing spot in the city. I will want to stay here every time I am in Kampala!

“The garden rooms are all great in the main hotel and I prefer the ground floor rooms in the 'French' annexe across the road as they are quieter. The internet is better in the main hotel area if it is critical. By and large I haven't stayed in a bad room yet.”
