Affordable, clean, great location, lovely staff and nicely put together. We'd stay here again if/when we come back to Kathmandu. For us, that's about as good a recommendation as we can give. Highly recommend staying here.

My first visit to this quaint hotel was in June 2013. It was a wonderful hotel in the center of Thamel. The staff were very helpful and proprietor took time to talk to us and keep us company. He even threw one of our buddies a surprise birthday party, on the house! Unfortunately we could not book into the hotel...

Cozy little hotel in a perfect/central location in Thamel. Clean rooms, hot water, and friendly & helpful staff. Breakfast in the cafe upstairs was excellent (with good coffee). What more could you want?

What to say about Ambassador Garden Home?? A wonderful experience of hospitality with the warmth of welcome in a hotel which one can only dream of - truly one is welcomed into a home when one stays at The Ambassador Garden!. My wife and I enjoyed five nights of pampering and indulgence from Prakash and his team of staff -...

In short, I flew from my home to my other home in Kathmandu. The staff are warmly welcoming you, the room looked like my home, everything as you expect from a home not trying to present themselves as five star hotel but indeed I will give them ten stars to their services. I will definitely recommend anyone visiting Kathmandu to...

I have stayed in a number of places in Kathmandu but finally I have found home! This hotel is in the heart of Thamel but when you go inside strangely it is so peaceful. The second you walk through the door it is just like home - a very nice boutique hotel that is very well run by Prakesh and...

What a pleasant surprise in the middle of Thamel. Charming boutique hotel with inner courtyard, warm inviting lobby and attentive staff. Walking distance to several temples and museum. Just wander the streets and take it all in. Charming, upstairs restaurant highlighting Nepalese cuisine. Best coffee bar none. Oh to do it all again.

Prakeesh at the front door was always in a great mood, welcoming you to his home! This hotel has so much charm, we loved it! there is no elevator. breakfast in the garden was delicious and they have a little restaurant attached. Location is right in the middle of the Thamel, you can find anything 24/7.

Overall the experience was very good! As vegetarians it's often difficult to get adequately catered for. There were no problems here and I could swap out and add in any extras for no charge. They also made a real effort to make things easy for us by allowing us to print further travel documents from their printer and to check...

This hotel is in the middle of Thamel, which within walking distance to any of the stores in Thamel shopping district, about 10 mins walk from Gardens of Dreams and about 20 mins walk to Kathmandu Durbar Square. I love how I could go shopping in Thamel early in the morning and at night since it's so near from the...
