This is my friend's hotel and OK for low-budget travellers. Service is nice and the hotel is located to Thamel.

I found the hotel to be very special because of the services offered. I booked a four day tour around Nepal from the hotel last minute with a great rate and had a fantastic time

I stayed here with a friend in Oct 2009. We booked on the internet and were very disapointed when we got there. We were collected from the airport which was a great bonus bu the hotel was very dark and cold. The running water wasnt hot and I think we had the WORST pillow I have ever had. I think...

We stayed here several nights during our stay in Nepal and grew to have sort of a love/hate relationship with this place! This place has a lot of potential, and if it had a manager that actually cared about the place, it could be a great hotel, due to it's great location in Thamel and due to it's balcony rooms...

Stayed here because bad weather and cancelled flights meant booked hotel could not accommodate us. Room recently painted. Needs more. TV not working. Bed uncomfortably terrible. Carpet treadbare. Bathroom dirty. Toilet seat broken. Breakfast adequate. If booked hotel was not able to accommodate us we would have not stayed another night.

The worst I have experienced in my entire live! The hotel has been moved, first of all. Address on my booking is different from it's current location which is in Thamel now. Unfriendly staffs who refused to give us a towel on Diwali reason being no one is delivering towel that day! Ugly room, smelly carpet, leaking basin, cracked tiles,...

Images on the website suggest a well kept hotel. Dont be fooled! The room we had was scruffy and dirty with leaking toilet. You can find way better value for money in Thamel! Kathmandu View is an absolute waste of money!

Abysmal service, abysmal room, abysmal location. Toilet that flushed onto the FLOOR! Horrible front-desk staff only interested in money. In the heart of Thamel with honking cars going on all night and day. No relaxing communal areas. A TV with no plug. Powercuts. Couldn't recommend less. The only place worse is Hotel Encounter in Kathmandu. Never ever stay at either.

We had a hard start there, partly because we were transfered there because our original Hotel (Madhuban) had lost our reservation. The room was not in a good state, so we had to ask for new towels, the toilet to be repared and some lights to be installed. Also the 1st manager showed a clear lack of willingness to help...
