This hotel is not only very clear ( room, bed, especially the sun fresh smell sheet gave me good sleep) but also feel like a home. Asmita and her daughter and other relatives made me feel like the member of their family. Love her meat Momo and dessert. Regret not trying her other cook due to just one night staying.... More

Of all the accommodations I have stayed at in Nepal, Asmita’s is by far my favorite—and this is coming from someone who has lived and worked in Nepal on four separate occasions. When traveling together, my wife and I believe that regardless of all the historical sites or scenic views we have listed on our itinerary, it is actually the... More

We can just confirm the review of "nikajopa". We did the same itenerary in Kathmandu valley and had also a fantastic stay in Asmita B & B. Very clean rooms and bathrooms, delicious food prepared by Asmita herself. Highly recommanded place in north Thamel. Nearby, 50 m away, you have a wonderful restaurant "Thamel House", a typical nepali home with... More

We just returned from our trip to Kathmandu. It was a very nice experience but I must say that our acommodation in Asmita B&B was the main reason for that. It's clean with a very good food and the owners are a fantastic couple. So none of us had intestinal problem during our stay, because Asmita is cleaning always the... More

This very personal, very new, very clean and very friendly b and b is a wonderful find. In the northern end of Thamel so it's close to any mischief you need. We (mum and two teenage daughters) stayed 3 nights. We moved from another hotel in KTH to this one because it was cleaner, warmer and friendlier. Thamel is still... More

This is a newish guesthouse and because of the modern clean rooms and views it was a haven for us from the dustry hectic streets of Thamel. The roof terrace is terrific, 360 views, adding a whole extra dimension to your stay in Katmandu. I was there for every sunrise and sunset. Location is a good part of Thamel, slightly... More

I was in KTM for a business meeting and stayed on for two days. While my colleagues booked into the Radisson, I was determined to get a feel for the ‘real’ Kathmandu. It’s arguable whether Thamel is the ‘real’ Kathmandu. It’s where all the city’s guesthouses and lower-mid market accommodation is concentrated. Narrow streets are lined with shops mainly selling... “Best suite was the Mt Everest room on the top floor with direct access to the roof top sitting area. However, all rooms were very comfortable. WiFi was best in the lower rooms near the dinning room.”

“Message "Asmita Bed and Breakfast" on facebook to book and confirm the pricing for your stay. I got a prompt reply that way. Higher floor seems to get better hot shower, and gives you some exercise before the trekking :P Lock room door, always. Some other tourist will confuse your room for others. Heck, even I myself accidentally tried to open the wrong room.”
