Nice resort with peaceful environment and a good reprieve from the dusty and noisy city. The view of the Himalayas, including Annapurna and Ganesh was spectacular, especially during sunrise and sunset. A view from the room is also perfect. Staffs were also attentive, kindly, helpful and friendly. Rooms are clean. Meals are delicious and fresh. A few days, or a...

It's an adventure getting to Shivapuri, a rough (being improved) road up from Kathmandu kms along a park boundary road to the better prepared track down to the hotel (about an hour 45 from KTM given the current state of the road - not the fault or responsibility of Shivapuri Village). The hotel is Nepalese owned and run. Fully rebuilt...

The road to Shivapuri is extremely bad . The tortuous ride is bone breaking. It takes much longer than warranted by just the kilometres . It is higher and cooler than Kathmandu. It is also not far from Shivapuri national park . It has only 3-4 rooms. The upstairs rooms are better. Ours was and had a good view ....

Shiva Puri village is both stunningly beautiful and tranquil, it's a space that allows creativity to flow, being there filled me with inspiration. The staff were so friendly and diligent, and the food was delicious. Sitting outside having lunch and dinner overlooking the mountains view was truly breathtaking. Going for long walks through the landscape, being immersed in jungle wildlife...

Shivapuri is my favourite place in the world!Peace, time to think, stunning views, delicious local and international food and wondrous night skies! From here you can trek into the Himalayas.....and go on daily walks to acclimatise before your trek. When you can walk to Shivapuri Peak and back in a day....you're ready for your trek(if you can bear to leave Shivapuri Village). Fresh air...

Have visited Shivapuri Village on a number of previous occasions and I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Situated in an beautiful unspoilt National Park, within easy reach of Kathmandu, it is a paradise for bird watchers and nature lovers or anyone keen to just get out of the city for a taste of real Nepalese countryside. The forest is...

Dear Mr. Milan. We are very sorry that you felt the way you did. We feel that you misunderstood our tariff, as what you received is a very reasonable rate. Our published tariff is USD 115/person on AP and USD 95/person on MAP basis. We gave you USD 55/person which we feel is the best we could do. I think...

We visited Shivapuri Village after a days cycling, on route back to Kathmandu. Although it is out of the way, this is actually a massive plus for the resort as it was incredibly peaceful, had wonderful views and we got a fantastic nights sleep in our rustic cottage, complete with log fire - that we discovered lit when we retired...

Shivapuri Village was established encompassing an existing village. Many of the structures are genuine Nepali houses where villagers previously dwelt. We have a typical Nepali village setting and all the peripherals too reflect the hues of Nepali village lifestyle. It is a delicate integration between a rural village and modern comforts. Shivapuri Village offers various activities to keep oneself busy during the stay be it in the form of Nature Treks and Hikes, Ethnic Village Tours, Bird Watching, Photography or just a simple relaxing leisure. ... more   less
