I stayed in Thamel Boutique (2-6 Nov 2024) and will be in my memory forever for its Cleanliness, Room Service, Yummy Food, Location and Smiling Staff (especially Manager Jaya). Centrally located in Thamel market that you can roam around in night too, roads are full of decorative lights, safe and well placed. Durbar square and New Road market (where Kathmandu folks buy day to day need stuff) is 15 mins walking.
We stayed in a family room (a double bed and a single bed), enough space for 3 and their luggage. Mattress were comfortable, sound sleep for 4 nights. Room had comfortable sofa chairs to relax, good wooden work and the whole hotel was decorative with special wooden carving. Wifi had fast speed too.
They make aromatic coffee and my Son became fan of their coffee. Must try their Spaghetti and Nepali thali, they use some special Nepali herbs for taste and aroma. I also liked their fresh apple and pineapple juice.
They serve Continental breakfast with many options like Croissant, Pan Cakes, Muffins, Omelette, Sausages, Boiled veggies, Breads, Butter, Jam, Honey, Juices, Coffee and Tea. Indian breakfast on request (Aloo Paratha and Puri Bhaji).
Manager Jaya was a very nice person to converse with. If you want to know about Nepal he is the best to talk to, who gives all honest reviews and feedback. His motive is customer service. He helped me to book the cab by advising to book through Pathao mobile app (like Uber) which is a cheaper option than other taxi services. I had booked the hotel through him directly who offered a discounted price which was lower than other online sites and he did not even asked for any advance for that, I paid in the hotel on my arrival only. Free pick up from Airport was complimentary.
Breakfast time was 7-10 AM, I also want to thank Abhishek who had arranged an early breakfast at 5.45 AM on 4th November as we had to travel to Mankamnamai temple.
I would recommend this hotel to my friends who soever travel to Kathmandu, Nepal.

The Thamel Boutique Hotel is an absolute gem in the heart of Thamel, Kathmandu. I stayed there for 16 days during my recent visit to Nepal from the USA for a trekking vacation and for a reasonably priced hotel, was very impressed with the rooms and the service. Clean rooms, bathroom showers with a glass partition so the rest of the bathroom does not get wet, fast reliable wifi and a full compliment of premium satellite television channels including HBO made my stay very comfortable. They worked around my trekking schedule and allowed me to check in early after the conclusion of my treks and stored my luggage during the treks. The manager of the hotel Jaya Ram Adhikari went out of his way to insure that I always had everything that I needed. I plan to stay there again when I return to Nepal.

This hotel was recommended to me and I'm extremely glad I stayed here. The hotel was clean, the beds were comfortable, and most importantly, the staff were exceptional. The manager, Jaya, and his staff, were extremely kind, accomodating and went above and beyond. The location of the hotel is perfect - it's in the centre of everything, but the rooms block out the noise from the street. There is an abundance of restaurants and stores around, making it a great location to explore everything that Thamel has to offer.
Unfortunately, I fell unwell during my stay, but Jaya and the team went above and beyond to ensure I was looked after. Jaya personally went to the pharmacist to get medication for me and organised soup and nourishing food to help me recover. He checked in regularly to see how I was feeling, and the staff also followed up, making me feel genuinely cared for.
Throughout my stay, I felt safe and comfortable, thanks to their attentiveness and hospitality. On my departure, the reception team even arranged a taxi to the airport and covered the cost, which was such a thoughtful gesture.
The exceptional service and genuine care I received made an otherwise challenging situation much easier. I highly recommend Thamel Boutique Hotel to anyone looking for a place where the staff truly care about their guests. I stayed at this hotel for 4 days and had an excellent experience. The airport transfer service was convenient and easily arranged by sharing my flight details. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well-maintained, with reliable Wi-Fi. The restaurant on the 6th floor serves delicious Indian cuisine with both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, catering to a variety of tastes.
The highlight of my stay was the exceptional hospitality of the manager, Jaya Ram. He is not only a fantastic host but also an experienced travel consultant. He arranged a comfortable SUV for a day tour around Kathmandu at a very reasonable price and also seamlessly booked a breathtaking helicopter tour of Mt. Everest for me. His assistance made my trip truly hassle-free and memorable.

My stay at the hotel was comfortable and smooth. The room was comfortable, the toilet and shower were very good. There were complimentary tea and sugar, kettle, and bottled water in the room. My first holiday of the year is well spent in Nepal. With the right accommodation, Thamel Boutique Hotel is very accessible and staff are very accommodating, the manager is added value in terms of arranging tours and ensuring our safety with good balance of cost.
