The hotel is not far from Thamel but in a quiet place. Each floor has a nice balcony with a view. But sheets were not clean, even after it has been changed. Tha bathroom was dirty too. Staff wants to be tipped for every little thing. Poor breakfast. The manager wanted us to pay more than the price we paid...

The PROS to hotel Lai Lai: Bed comfortable Nice breakfast (albeit eaten in a dark room because there is insufficient lights due to lack of power). The people were pleasant. Clean rooms, towels and sheets. The CONS to Hotel Lai Lai: No "24" hot water as promised. (No power). Sometimes NO water AT ALL. No WIFI because no power 90%...

I have been in Kathmandu from 17 to 20th jan 2014 and stayed in hotel lai lai, next to hotel Ganesha. The room was dirty, no hot water, towels were like years old, bathrrom was dirty...i donot suggest any1 to stay in this hotel. the kitchen was very dirty, i am sure once if you see their kitchen you cannot...

comfortable place, very close to the main tourist area of the city. all the people working there are kind and friendly, rooms are nice and clean. good point for sightseeing by day and stay out at night. possibility to visit the city by car with a local guide provided by the hotel management. definetely, a very nice stay!

This hotel is located in a nice area next to Hotel Ganesh and is about a 15 minute walk to the centre of Thamel. We were on the fifth floor which had a nice view of Kathmandu.  Our first room had a toilet that started leaking profusely when we first used it so we were moved to a slightly bigger...

Had 1 week stay in the hotel was memorable with all necessary services like wise friendly staff ,management willing to point you in right direction for every help you need and guide. The location is excellent. The hotel is in a small quiet street not far from Thamel. The rooms have attached bathrooms with hot water. They were very clean. I had no experience about Nepal. I was known Lai Lai Hotel by one of my friend who had already stayed that Hotel. First time, I went to Kathmandu. I stayed 10 days at Lai Lai Hotel. I was good treated by staffs of Hotel. I felt like like at home. Managers, staffs, Management, service ,room,breakfast of Hotel is good.

The location of Lai Lai is excellent, it's walking distance from Tamel the hard core tourist streets, but far enough to be quiet, tranquil and cean.
