Amazing facility and fantastic service. A real oasis amongst the chaos of Kathmandu. Walking distance from both the Boudhanath stupa and the pashupatinath temple and only a quick taxi ride from Thamel.

HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW
Reviewed 8 January 2017

Do not normally opt for 5 star hotels but arrangements were made by a friend. Trip to Hyatt from airport through Kathmandu traffic was an adventure but upon entering the hotel, the beautiful grounds and lobby were stunning, greeted by three sitting musicians playing raga. Service was excellent, dining buffet was wonderful and room very comfortable. Out the back gate,...

Dear Guest, Thank you for sharing your feedback post your stay with us. The hotel nestled on 37 acres of landscaped gardens does give the ambiance of peace and tranquility in a hustling and bustling Kathmandu and I am glad that you were able to enjoy the location. This is my second visit to this Hotel and I found it just as good, just as warm and just as visit-worthy. The Hotel has extensive grounds and all the amenities required of a modern hotel. It is close to the airport, but slightly away from the main shopping areas.

The Kathmandu, Nepal Hyatt is in town but only 15 minutes from the airport The property is big enough that you hear very little traffic noise I would describe it as an Oasis yet close to all the attractions

I really enjoyed this property..., the Hyatt was a sight for sore eyes after spending the day sightseeing the town. It's close to the airport and walking distance to the Boudhanath Stupa. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I recommend access to the club level on the 6th floor (continental breakfast, hor d'oeuvres, drinks, etc.), and the breakfast buffet...

I frequently come to Kathmandu and always appreciate a visit to the Hyatt. It's expensive if you are traveling on a tight budget, but also worth the splurge if you haven't had a hot shower and want to enjoy some modern luxuries for a night or two. Make sure to get a room with a view of the Boudha stupa....

This might be a good place to stay in Kathmandu, but that would only be because there aren't really any good places to stay in Kathmandu. (But, watch out, Hyatt - there's a new Fairfield by Marriott going up in Thamel - new tall building, scheduled to open April '17....) Why not 5*? Poor maintenance. Poor bed. As others noted...

There are pretty much only two decent places to stay in Kathmandu...The Hyatt and Dwarika. That said the Hyatt has decent if somewhat plain rooms, lavish baths, and absolutely stunning common space. It's quite and a tranquil oasis in which to retreat from the noise and pollution of the city. It has a few downsides...my bed had no mattress pad,...

The Hyatt Regency was a great hotel to stay at with great people who were very friendly. Breakfast was a wide spread and the lunch and dinner options of the restaurants very good. However, although the hotel itself was very good and hospitable the tour desk operators at the hotel are very overpriced and give very poor service. The tour...
