I enjoyed my two-week stay at this hotel, which is under new management. Plusses: The hotel has a large walled yard with a nice dining area on the lawn. Breakfast is included. They have a security guard outside, which I appreciated as a solo female traveler. The new manager is very available and actively soliciting feedback from customers. Front desk...

Stayed 11/4-11/12 Rooms are large enough, but the mattresses and pillows are thin and the beds are hard. The wifi and hot water can be iffy, especially early morning and late night. The food was not bad, but got repetitive very fast. Great location in the Bouddha neighborhood right near the stupa. There are amazing views from the rooftop of...

I've spent time at Norbu Sangpo on different trips, from one week to three months and it is just the best place to stay in Bouddhanath. Very friendly atmosphere, large and comfortable rooms, a garden that seems like an oasis in the city, walking distance from the stupa, from all the terraces you can see the White Gompa. For most...

Wonderful staff, extremely gracious and helpful! Felt like coming 'home' from the hustle and bustle of Boudha. Only 'complaints' are the internet and price for value. Internet is really spotty here and could be improved upon as there is a new, much better internet service available now in Nepal. Price is a bit expensive for the room's provided - NPR...

I lived at this hotel for over three months last summer and found it quite satisfactory. It is about a 7 minute walk north of the Stupa, just off the main road, Phulbari. They staff a 24-hour gate guard, so there is free entry and exit at any time, unlike many of the other area guest houses that close anywhere...

The location is very near to Boudha, a place which is a must for any Buddhists who visit Kathmandu. Awesome staff and clean garden. Rooms are a bit out dated and very cold at night. No generator so no hot water. Many shops around the area. No problem to find food and can shop until 6.00 pm
