Currently there is no elevator; however, one is being built and should be in operation by end of year. We were on the fifth floor with rooftop balcony, and really enjoyed watching the sunrise over the city. The room was small, but had a double bed, bedside table, armchair, small table, vanity and separate bathroom and tv with English and...

Stayed there for two nights, one night before i left for everest base camp and another once I'm back. Everything seems average here. The front office staff rarely smiles, water pressure inside the bathroom is low, in terms of location, i think is the main plus point. Its about 100 meters from the main road (thamel st) and it has...

We spend a lot of time in this hotel, between the trekking and visiting other cities we always came back here. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Even when this area is very noisy, the hotel's location is hidden from the main crowded street, making it a very quiet and relax hotel. The hotel offers food in the...

This is my second stay at the Samsara and I think it is great! Before you travel to Nepal you need to realize that the hotels are very different from those in wealthier countries. For example most days Kathmandu is without power for most of the day (I.e. no hot water), and many hotels have shared toilet facilities. The Samsara...

stayed at the Samsara for 2 nights before our trek to Everest Base camp and 2 nights after. My daughter and I were put on the 5th floor (no lift) and my brother was in a tiny supposedly double rooftop room above us.This was fine before our trek as we considered it more training, but not great when we returned....

Convinient location right in the heart of shopping on Thamel road. Entrance is narrow but once you enter hotel premises it is spacious. Service is excellent. Food is nice. Not expensive . Value for maney.

The first thing that stands out about Samsara was the genuine friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. They were always a delight to speak to, knowledgable and were quick to act when the shower in our room didn't work. It was fixed in the same afternoon. Rooms were well serviced and maintained with comfortable beds and good hot water. Regular...

This hotel is located close to the touristical heart of Kathmandu ; there are good restaurants near by at less than a 5 minutes walk . The reception at the front desk was good and the staff is eager to serve you . The exception was for the repair of the shower ( no pressure) and the toilet ( did...

The hotel room is spotless and good service received. We were given a spacious room for three person with extra bed for three nights. Matresses are in good condition, however they may need some new pillows as well. Being in the centre of Thamel, it helps the guest to do shopping within closer proximity. Breakfast menu was OK. Internet connection...
