Our experience in Dolphin Guest House was wonderful. It is a humble place but has everything that we need, plus a warm welcome from the management. His guidelines and tips to visit Kathmandu and other cities were very important for the success of our trip. Truly recommend it.

This was our fourth visit to the Dolphin. It was winter and 8 months after the Earthquake and during a difficult time of fuel shortage yet this guesthouse still provided their best to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The Dolphin is safe and has predictable hot showers. Simple rooms with all that you need for your visit to... More

I have been a couple of times at dolphin guesthouse while visiting Nepal this time. Basic rooms but clean, quiet and safe. The atmosphere is very friendly and giving a feeling like home. The owner and his family are also living at that place and they are very nice and helpful concerning anything. Fantastic rooftop.

Without any doubt, this is a great place to stay in Kathmandu! First of all the location of the Guest House is very convenient, right in the middle of Thamel, next to main road Leknath Marg and close to the taxi stand and bus station of Kantipath. But what makes this an excellent guest house is the friendly and helpful... More

Stayed at Dolphin for around 5 days in November. Everything was good: weather was perfect and hotel was worth its price. Has a beautiful rooftop on which people have breakfast together. Very easy to socialize their in the morning with other guests, but can also keep your privacy if you want. The owner was a super friendly man and even... More

After staying here for 3 nights in 2013, Dolphin Guest House was the automatic choice for my most recent visit. The recent earthquakes have driven the tourists away, so I was the only guest. However the owner Surendra went out of his way to make my stay comfortable, enjoyable and informative. For anyone considering a trip to Nepal in the... More

We stayed 5 days in Dolphin Guesthouse and we were very happy about our stay. Surendra, the owner, is very attentive and very helpful. The guesthouse has a great location in Thamel, close to the restaurants, shops and bus stops. The breakfast is serves on the rooftop. If I come back to Nepal, I will certainly stay there again !

Dolphin Guest House was my first experience of Nepali hostels and it is certainly an excellent place to stay in Katmandu. Mr Surendra speaks English and French fluently, and he and his family and team really make things very easy and confortable. As my friends and I had nothing firmly planned to visit Katmandu and the surrounding area, Mr Surendra... More

I stayed for second year at this place. It has a very good location in Thamel, just few steps to the shops, agencies, restaurants,.. And at the same time is in a quiet street, what's nice in this busy area. I repeat this place, becouse Mr Surendra, the owner, who makes feel me like at home. Very friendly and helpful,... More

This was our third year to stay at the Dolphin - and each time they have looked after us very well. The place is like a home a way from home for us when we visit Nepal. For a safe and secure place to stay in the popular Thamel district of Kathmandu - this it great. A simple and comfortable... More

“The staff will no doubt tell you that the rooms on one side of the hotel have bathrooms while those on the other side have a shared bathroom. We had the former during our first visit and the latter by choice when we returned after travelling elsewhere and were happy with both but there was no competition for the shared bathroom at the time. We understand the sharing was between two rooms only in any event.”
