We stayed at the Kantipur during our April 2017 Mardi Himal trek in the Himalayas. If you are looking for a next level luxury holiday, then Nepal is probably the wrong location. Those of us who have been there and have returned (or plan to) know why we go there, and what is to gain from experiencing this remarkable country....

The location is more towards the city centre than the lake Pewa, about 10/15 minutes walking to the Main Street. Our room , nothing worked properly, phone , TV, internet! The bathroom had a terrible smell 24/7 ! Large groups of Indian tourists use this hotel on a low cost/package holiday, they make a lot of noise , wash their...

Everything is perfect but their hot water system does not work 24 hours. We reached at hotel at midnight in this chilly cold weather and we had to freshen up with icy cold water. This facility needs to be improved. Otherwise, their staffs were very helpful and friendly and breakfast was very good as well.

The narrow roa entrance belies this beautiful and quaint hotel. The location was centrally located in the city and there was a Street Fest going on last week. The lake is also near by. The rooms are average but with good water pressure in the baths and a balcony. The rooftop has an amazing view of the Annapurna range. No...

Wonderful hotel. Lots of well kept gardens. Good, spacious rooms, comfortable beds. The shower was a bit funny though, we had a bathtub that was in a weird position so you had to stand in it to use the shower but the shower didn't reach you completely. Besides that it was great. The breakfast was all very nice. The staff...

We had been in this hotel with family, Hotel location and surroundings are good but room quality/ service is poor. There is good scope for improvement and food was very average. Service was too very slow.

What an amazing place - I absolutely loved everything about it! The staff are extremely friendly and efficient, the garden is beautiful and makes for a great place to relax, spacious rooms with balcony, gorgeous view of the Himalayas, and not to forget delicious buffet breakfast. Thank you for making my stay so pleasant. Highly recommend!

I stayed here before and after my trek. When my tour operator in Kathmandu let me down, the reception staff (mainly Shanti at reception) did her best to liaison with the tour company and tried to fulfill the promises made. As well when the ATM malfunctioned, she was helping me connect with my bank in Canada. She was exceptional! All...

Hotel Kantipur is a old property and the appearance is very good from outside. The rooms are quite big and they do have villas type accommodation. The food in the restaurant is good and tasty. The morning buffet breakfast is awesome.
