One of the highlights of my 2,5 months of travelling! I had no experience with buddhism and meditation and it was the perfect introduction in these topics! We had many good discussions and learned very nice meditation techniques. The food was great and a lot, coffee and tee was available all the time, the group of 17 people was really... More

I went to the 3-day weekend course on Buddhism that including an introduction to Buddhism, meditation, yoga, meals and accommodations. Accommodations were a good value. Meals were not great- breakfast was delicious but lunch and dinner left a lot to be desired. The Buddhist introduction lacks concise presentation, and even lacks a bit of expertise on the subject matter. The... More

I usually don't take the time to write reviews, but I think people need to know what to expect form this weekend buddhist meditation yoga course! I'll start with the good things: very quality food, qualified and nice staff. Located at 3 minutes from the lake. Spartian but nice accomodation, generaly the place is really nice, you also can find... More

To start with the positive things: very good food, nice surrounding (although it can be noisy), interesting meditations, not expensive for what you get. During the teaching I found there could have been more interaction. You get a lot of information (to much? difficult for me to stay focused sometimes) about the basic principles of Buddhism. If that's what you're... More

I stayed here more than 2 weeks over a period of 2 months (2 visits). I did no courses here but was just looking for a nice and relaxing place to stay while in Lakeside. And that I found here, I truly think this is the most peacefull stay around with very friendly staff and good enough accomondations. I could... More

My partner and I attended the weekend course which we enjoyed very much. Drolkar lead us through the intro to Buddhism and facilitated some good discussion amongst the group. Each day basically included 2x yoga, 2x lessons & 2x meditation sessions. The staff we very welcoming and made some delicious food! We decided to stick around at the centre once... More

Me and my friend visited to ask about courses and accommodation. The people were really helpful and friendly and the place is beautiful. But be aware of the crazy dog that attacks people! My friend got 3 puncture wounds in her arm. A guy that tried to help her also got bitten. Apparently she wasn't the first one..

My boyfriend and I did the weekend course here and were very happy to be part of such a beautiful experience. Our course colleagues were open and so great to have elaborate conversations with. The vegetarian food was the tastiest we've had in Pokhara. The classes taught by Drolkar were very interesting and offered a basis for getting familiar with... More

Me and my girlfriend recently did the weekend course (one of the last of the year before they start again in February). We are not religious, and have never done anything like this before. We really enjoyed the weekend, and learnt a lot abut Buddhism. Pros: The other people on the course were really friendly, and the atmosphere is extremely... More

We were at the lovely Ganden center for their weekend course and loved it for all but one thing and this was not the fault of the center. The weekend course is an introduction to Buddhism, meditation and yoga and it does exactly what it says on the box. However there were many people turning up expecting some kind of... More
