The place looked ok and was cheap but the room had a strong mold smell. In addition the staff always tried to sell us tours, bus tickets etc. but with a way higher price tag than anywhere else. This made it a bit uncomfortable. During the last night we had two huge cockroaches in our room.

We have shopped around lots of budget places in Pokhara and Hotel President is definitely the best we have seen in terms of cleanliness, facilities and value for money. Our room was en suite with a tv, fan, wifi and phone to call reception. We paid 500 r a night for the room, but could have paid less if staying...

Hotel President is a home away from home. I came to stay the weekend, and left 6 weeks later! Despite the family and sociable ambiance, the majestic private rooftop garden overlooking the Lake and hillside, the immaculate rooms and affordable prices, the convenient location - the owners Alvin and Sunita are reason enough to visit. In 22 months backpacking, i...

Clean and affordable with the loveliest owners! They will go out of their way to make everything as easy as possible for you and look after you, they were like our "Nepalese parents". Handy to the main drag in Pokhara, with an awesome rooftop to chill out on. Thank you Sunita and Alveen!

This guesthouse is as nice and clean as you could hope for, especially for the price, but the main reason to go is for the incredibly nice owners. They will do everything they can to make you feel welcome. After months and months of traveling, these are the nicest hotel owners I have met on my trip. Nice rooftop restaurant/garden...

I wanted a quiet room with a good view, close enough for it to be an easy walk to the middle of Pokhara but far enough out to enjoy the countryside. I stayed for a week in a room with one of the best views ever: the lake in front of me and the tip to Fishtail visible to the...

A friend in Kathmandu asked me to check out this property in Pokhara. Having already reserved my hotel, where I had stayed the past 5 years, I did not have a need but did the review strictly as a favor. I found the hotel fairly easily. It is basically located on the street in back on Mama Mia Restaurant which...

Hotels in Pokhara can be a bit of a minefield, but this one I can highly recommend. We stayed at Hotel President for over a month, and had a great time. Rooms are clean and comfortable and they have a nice roof terrace with great views of the mountains and lake. They are located in north Lakeside, far enough from...
