I really enjoy this place, I have been here many times and whenever I come here it feels like home. The hosts are very helpful, and best of all the environment is arranged so that you are likely to meet people from all over the world. It's convenient and close to lots of cool places to visit, get a beer...

As one Taiwanese guest described, the place is very Taiwanese. First, the hostel is split into two buildings. Eight Elephants and Dreaming Dragon. Eight Elephants the main building with the larger kitchen and dorms. Great for meeting people. Dreaming Dragon is where the private rooms are and a bit more chill. The two buildings are practically next door to each...

When you've just arrived in a new country and are tired and trying to get your bearings, a place like Eight Elephants is just what you need to feel instantly welcome and at home. I stayed here twice, at the beginning and end of my stay in Taiwan, and stayed in a private room the first time and a dorm...

I stayed there for a night before meeting up with friends. Overall, its ok. However, the staff need to pay more attention to detail. I booked a single bedroom. However, the room is very small and can only fit a bed and a table. The bed is less than 180cm because I cannot fit myself in since I'm 180cm tall....

I said I'd 5 star the 8 elephants; I am a man of my word. Stayed at this place back in 2013 when Sara was the boss, now I am sitting here in 2015 next to Ben. Despite me forgetting to book a reservation through email, EE was quick to accommodate me as I was knocking on the door and...

The hostel was great is really make me feel like I was at home. It is really hard to find because it is located in a back alley. The skilled staff knew our names and gave us little presents as we were there during Christmas. They were really trying to get us involved and invited us to parties. We stayed...

I'm not quite sure what it is about me that I tend to like the lower end hostels and hotels. I feel like this is super value at about 30 usd per night. It's a little more for the weekend and a little less for the weekdays. I had a single twin room with bathroom facilities down the hall. There's...

We really enjoyed our stay at 8 elephants. It was a very clean and accommodating hostel. While a little hard to find the first time, its in a great location once you know where it is. We had a private room with three people. It came with our own bathroom and AC unit. For the price, it was definitely worth...

Stayed here with my boyfriend twice in Oct/Nov 2014. Great stay friendly and welcoming staff. The staff were very helpful and provided us with a map when we arrived and pointed out great places to eat and a few places to visit. Managed to find our way round pretty easy on the metro. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Shared...

Had a lovely stay here with my boyfriend, friendly and welcoming staff. We were given a map on arrival and the staff told us some good places to eat nearby. Great location, found it very easy to get around on foot and using the fantastic public transport. Clean rooms. Nice relaxing atmosphere. Shared bathrooms were kept clean.
