A day before we go to taiwan, I sent mike a email informing him that we will reach at smart hostel before 12am. On a arrival day, we went to search for a phone card so that we can contact mike easily but is too night already, all the shop has been closed. When we reached smart hostel, we are...

We were greeted by the friendly owner, Mike upon arrival. The room is spacious, clean, quiet and comfortable. The view from the 11th floor was magnificent. The bathroom is a little small though. The location is very convenient for shopping and eating. The MRT station is within walking distance and there's so much to see and do in Ximen. Will...

Stayed there for 7 nights and it's a small studio apartment with a super duper mini bathroom. Curtain was stained and in bad shape and wasn't appealing. The room was quite clean but we noticed it wasn't clean enough daily. The bed wasn't that comfortable and pillow was quite sunken. Wifi was strong enough, however, on our last day, it...

It is actually a studio apartment in a building. I stayed there for four nights and the room I stayed in was newly renovated, with an ensuite bathroom and a kitchenette. The man who runs the place was very helpful and friendly. There is quite a range of choice of accommodation in Taipei for visitors, and I think an "aparthotel"...

This is an apartment I'd return to stay, for several reasons. The location is great. It is 10min walk from a bus terminal where KuoKuang buses go direct to Taoyuan airport. That saves the hassle of going to Taipei main station or going on the MRT with the luggage. Furthermore, the buses run at 10min interval (the journey takes 40min...

Good, convenient, quiet and clean. The host, Mike was very friendly and we had a very warm welcome from him.We stayed in a double-beded room with a small but clean toilet.Location is very convenient as it was just a stone's throw away from the subway station.

Even though its on the main road it would be easy to miss if the landlord wasn't looking out for us in the street..and the poor guy was there waiting for us for maybe 4 hours:// The room is in a regular apartment building so your neighbours are local residents. Room is nice, well equiped maybe one minus was that...

As quite a few budget-rated accommodations in Taipei this is a serviced apartment, no front desk, no room service. Unlike some though, the room gets cleaned and amenities replenished daily. The toilet was surprisingly cramped though, with no separate shower cabin. Ximen area is vibrant with shopping, street-dining, night market life, comparable to Tokyo's kabuki-cho. Relatively close to a subway...
