I was here for a day and half, having arrived at an odd time and left in a rush because of a family emergency. The room was great, as were the breakfast etc. What made this hotel stand out is that they gave me the...More
We stayed here cos it's the hotel my mom always stays at when she comes to Taipei. I believe it's cos of its location, right above the train station. And when u step out of the hotel u will see endless boutique stores, department stores,...More
The location of this hotel is unbeatable, right in the heart of the DongQu district and steps away from the subway station. The hotel itself is an older but still well maintained hotel which comes at great value for this location. Breakfast selection was good,...More
Recommended by a friend living in Taipei, it's a convenient hotel downtown. Right by the subway, very well connected, close to the main attractions. Good restaurants area behind. Great personal/service, always ready to help. Rooms need a little update, but still clean.
Pros: Right next to a subway station (Zhongxiao Dunhua), bottled water and fruit and snacks provided in the room when we arrived, friendly employees, and the room was spacious. Cons: The bed was kind of hard, the room is a little on the shabby side...More

You have few options for the transportation from the airport to the hotel: 1) taxi: it's take around 40-60 minutes depending on the traffic and it costs around NTD$1,000 equivalent to US$35. 2) bus: it runs around every 30-45 minutes and costs NTD$145, equivalent to US$4.5. Bus 1960 will take you all the way in Taipei City Hall station where you change to the MRT (Taipei Metro) and get off on Zhongxiao Dunhwa station (2 stops). This route can take up to 90 minutes. Bus 5201 will take you to the exit one of the Zhonexiao Fuxing MRT station where you can walk to the hotel on foot in 15 minutes. 3) High speed railway: shuttle to the train station, take the train and change to MRT. This is the most complicated version and personally I don't think it save you anytime. No matter which bus line you choose, DO NOT change in Taipei Main Station. It's very confusing and it took me years to figure out where to go.
From the hotel to 101: You can walk and take public transportation. If the weather permits, walking is the better choice and it takes around 30-50 minutes. Forget about MRT because they are in different line and you need to go very far and to come back. However, you can take bus 33 on Dunhua South Road which will take about 30 minutes. Unfortunately, it only runs every 30 minutes. Taxi is always easy to get around and it will cost less than US$5.
