I am on my last day of ASQ quarantine at GCPR. It has been a very tolerable stay. My Absolute Suite is spacious (72sq m, 775 sq’) with a wonderful view over the Royal Sports Club golf course and racetrack. The nighttime view is enchanting. Internet is strong and stable. I ordered an elliptical exercise machine which has been helpful. The full kitchen has a large refrigerator, stove top, and microwave which facilitate saving and reheating food. Several laundry detergent packets are provided for the washer/dryer. Quarantine food comes with plastic utensils so you may want to request or pack a few metal forks and Soup spoons. I appreciate that most of the food is delivered in cardboard containers and never Styrofoam. There are china plates and cups and saucers if you wish to transfer food. The suite has a good size desk and also another small office room with extensive countertop and chair. Two occupants could have privacy for separate online meetings. There is abundant storage which would make this an ideal location for a long-term stay such as during a work assignment ( post quarantine). Two separate thermostats are easy to control. You may want to bring a Roku stick or Apple TV box for streaming. I brought a USB to HDMI cable. Hotel staff, housekeeping, and food-service are all very responsive through the Line app. The lovely pool area is well shaded in the afternoons, once you pass the day five Covid test. I landed April 2nd to a delightful surprise as April 1 the quarantine days for fully vaccinated travelers were reduced to seven days. The desk was very gracious in rewriting my reservation for seven days and will process the refund after my departure.
All in all, a pleasant stay. I wasn’t going out much back home so there was not a lot of difference here other than an expansive view and I didn’t have to cook three meals a day.

This was my “unlucky 2nd ASQ stay so I have a reference compared to my 1st ASQ. I booked an Absolute suite with a treadmill in the room (72 sq m). The room was very clean and spacious with great view. The bedroom was very quiet and had well controlled temperature at night. They had a free NetFlix and international channels TV. Compared to my first ASQ, the food was markedly better. They changed the menu everyday with 4 options (Thai, Western, Japanese and Vegetarian menu) on each meal (Except the standard 2 breakfast options that were the same). Not only the taste and quality of the food was great, they also offered more healthy options (Salmon, Seabass or full veggie). They had a farewell dinner on the last night to celebrate the end of “Happy solitary confinement”. The service was responsive and effective too. In general, I was extremely happy with my choice and would totally recommend this property.

Overall, a very pleasant experience
I have stayed for 4 nights in apartment 4008. Fortieth floor, the view was simply stunning.

Hotel staff have kindly acknowledged my request to be away from noisy side of building as well as away from elevator. They were attentive with taxi, and helping find my way around this awesome area. The fact that there are dedicated elevators for higher floors is very helpful. There is a handy ATM machine near elevators

Room is pretty much a small apartment comprising of refrigerator, washing machine, all necessities to get by. There are two TVs with decent choice of channels. Office desk is available too.

Truly no complaints. Cleaning was spotless. Bed is clean and slightly on firmer side. Pillows were of various density so you can find perfect one.
Pool area is also nice and swimming is pleasurable

My only issue was with the shower. It is labeled opposite way. Hot water will come once you pull handle toward blue, cold side. Took me 2 days to figure that out.

Knowing that little trick, go ahead and enjoy this hotel!

Booked through agoda. After booking a quad suite realised even though it has 2 rooms and space for 4 adults + 2 kids, it only has 1 bathroom.
Called agoda and contacted the hotel directly to amend the booking as a 2 bed exec suite was going for $10 higher per night and had 2 bathrooms.
Hotel said no. In fact, no seems to be their favourite word. I was asked to contact the hotel directly on arrival and pay the difference (which even though was $10 on agoda, was $200 at the hotel) if i still wanted the exec suite. Obviously, i chose not to upgrade.
Then, I asked for an airport pickup a day in advance. Was told no, they can't arrange it as they need 3 days advance notice.
Reached the hotel. Did not get a welcome drink (while others did). Its about the principle of the matter.
Room was ok. Dated.
Located is fine.
Called room service one night and asked for some ketchup to be sent up. Was told I will be charged 20 bahts for the same. I said ok, no issues. Eventually, they never did charge us for it. But, flabbergasted at the service.
Staff at the reception were polite one moment and surly the next, depending on who was working that shift.
Did not get a single shred of paper or invoice on either checking in or out.
Never coming back.

This was our second time staying at the Grande Centre Point Ratchadamri, our first back in 2012, which was, gosh, 10 years ago! Over the years, we wanted to go back to this place, but somehow, they always priced themselves above their competitors, so we gave it a miss each time we visited Bangkok. This year, however, the hotel offered rates which were reasonable, and, notably, lower than our regular Bangkok hotel at nearby Siam Square. A pleasant surprise indeed.

If you are taking the BTS, you may opt to get down from either the Chit Lom or Ratchadamri stations. The walk to the hotel from each station is short, and you have my assurance, you won't break any sweat at all. Just like 10 years back, the one thing that will immediately catch your eye will be the massive high-ceiling lobby that conveys a feeling of space and grandeur. Perhaps its the festive season, or because of the competitive rates, the hotel lobby was packed with guests and their families waiting to check-in. Fortunately, the staff were very good with their work, so we did not have to wait long before our turn. We were pleased that our room was ready for occupation, so we headed there once we got our keys.

We booked the Grand Suite, and everything looked the same as what we had a decade before, which is not a bad thing. We had a kitchenette, washing machine, full sized fridge and a dining table. The improvement we saw was that the toilet bowl is now a bidet, which is not bad. Perhaps the only thing which I wished the hotel could do better was the tap system. Just like 10 years ago, we had the same problem trying to get the right water temperature. It was either very hot, or very cold, but nothing in between.

The gym and swimming pool are located on floor "F" (whatever that means), with a manned towel counter. The gym equipment are well maintained, and I was pleased that each treadmill came with its own tv. You can burn your calories and watch your preferred channel at your own pleasure. Now you don't get that even at some of the better gyms in S'pore!

Breakfast was served at floor "M", the floor just above the lobby. Due to the building design, the breakfast area is divided into two main sections and a connecting walkway. If you are into the standard breakfast items like bread, pastries, eggs and sausages, then you will need to go further inside. The area just past the service counter at the entrance serves items such as pad thai, dim sum, sushi, fried rice etc. Breakfast is available from 6.30 am to about 10.30am, and the hotel has posted notices informing guests what times are the best. From our observation, the crowd starts building up from 8.30am onwards, and only dissipates close to 10.00am. We had our breakfast at 8.00am every morning, and we were done by 9.00am, and on the way out, we saw that the line to enter stretched from the entrance to the back of the hall. So, you have been warned.

All in, this was a good stay at the Ratchadamri. Our family had a great time reminiscing the good time we had 10 years ago. I'm pleased to say that the great memories are still being made, even after so long.

the property is very impressive with all services to follow the travel restriction in Bangkok, Thailand. the room is spacious with all amenities; water and snacks during the quarantine times to be inside the hotel room. the bedroom is very comfortable and the bathroom is easy to access with a fully set of towel, shampoo, conditioner, and soap. the expectation of services are the best with the travel restriction during the pandemic crisis for the country.

The hotel is very clean. The staffs are very accommodating and know how to speak in English. The lobby is spacious and can accommodate a lot of guests.

I booked the Grand Deluxe Double or Twin Room.

The room is very tidy and huge. It has a couch by the window.

The room has kitchen where you can cook and you can borrow the cookware from the hotel. It has microwave over and a regular sized refrigerator. Ir has an automatic washing machine. It has a dining table that can fit 4persons.

The room has a Smart TV. It has a desk and a cabinet with safe. It has its own flat iron and ironing board.

The bathroom is spacious. It has a bathtub which I really love! The shower has a separate cubicle in the bathroom. It has hot and cold water. The bathroom has a lot of drawers so you can keep your things and keep the room tidy. The room has hair dryer as well.

The housekeeping is polite and they will ask you everyday if you want your room made up. You may refuse or you may ask them to do so. When requested, you may ask to change your sheets. They change my towels and bathrobe whenever they made up my room.

The location of the hotel is at the city center and, as a solo traveller, it helps me roam around Bangkok easily. The nearest metro/train station is about 7-10 mins walk from the hotel. The hotel is located in a quiet area and safe community.

It was a great experience! I would love to be back. ☺️

My third time staying here for work and travel and a great stay again.
The check in was much faster than last time and I had requested the same room as my previous stay and the request was on the system and I was very happy to get the same room as my previous stays overlooking the golf course and Bangkok Sky Line.

The room was great and comfy beds and the daily service was great. I had to work in the room for a few days and kept the do not disturb during the day and I only left the room at night and was great to see the room serviced even at night time. Only comment on the room was that hot water takes a long while to come through the shower and felt like wasting water each time it was left open for the water to heat up.

The breakfast gets super busy after 8 AM and there is even a long line waiting to get it which was not very nice when you had to be at work at a certain time. I actually skipped the breakfast on two days due to the lines and as it was too busy. This time they had split the breakfast on two sides which felt like a hassle as you had to walk a long distance to get something. It would have been lot better if they offer the breakfast in two locations and utilize the ground floor restaurant for certain floors and the M floor for certain floors guests instead of a long line in the morning and food spread over two areas.

Pool was great but they do close at 8 PM which is very early and it’s a shame as most days I would finish late and its already closed. At most Bangkok hotels the pool is open till 10 Pm on even later and given the warm and nice weather in Bangkok they should keep it open bit longer.

The room service was tasty, quick, great value for money and they would accommodate special dietary restrictions which was not on the standard menu which was fantastic.

Overall another great stay and would stay here again during my next visit to Bangkok.

We loved this hotel. The rooms were very comfortable and included a washer/dryer in each room. The staff was very friendly, and their combination Thai and western breakfast buffet was delicious. They were also within walking distance to the sky train. I would definitely recommend.

I made a reservation for a 7-day quarantine package via Agoda, paid and confirmed for early February. On Christmas Day, the hotel emailed and stated that I had to cancel and re-book, paying substantially more if I wanted a reservation. They claimed government policy had changed and that the booking I made was now not available. Oddly, I made the reservation AFTER government policy changed. In fact, that change of policy was the reason I made the reservation. I rang Agoda, who called the hotel and confirmed that the reservation was for a 7-day quarantine package. They even provided the name of the person contacted. An email back to the hotel produced a response saying the staff member was wrong and that my reservation would not be honored.

My last effort was to suggest that if the hotel had made a mistake on pricing, then they should honor the reservation, pointing out that this might be good business practice. To no avail, with the return email telling me that the hotel would not honor the reservation.

In such circumstances, the idea of arriving in the country for quarantine and finding the reservation not honored is just untenable. All I could do was cancel and look for an alternative hotel.

For me, this hotel has breached the trust that a guest should have when making a reservation, especially when it involves quarantine.

I don’t know whether the food is halal, but I can say that I saw quite a few Muslim families staying in the property. I’d guess that it was available or at least nearby.

"Get up early, not after 8.00 for breakfast too avoid queue. Go to pool early if you want area with sun. "
