Overall, I recommend the Baan Saladaeng for its good value and friendly staff. I stayed a week in the "Urban Loft," which was a spacious room with a chic, modern feel; I got a lot of space for less than what I paid for a room half its size at another inn. The front desk, breakfast, and housekeeping staff were...

Booked this hotel through a booking website, travelled to bangkok from the south on a four hour drive and arrived at hotel, first impression was that its across from a market area so the smell wasnt too good, then next door was a workshop with guys making a hell of a noise, but heh this is Thailand, Then we tried...

This is a small boutique guesthouse. The is nothing to shout about on facilities but sufficient for budget traveler. Location is fantastic, near Soi Saladeang and Thanon Convent for authentic Thai street foods, walking distance to Saladeang BTS and Silom MRT station, great for public transport to get around busy Bangkok and to airport too. Patpong is just nearby and...

The staff is extremely friendly. I wanted to change room because mine did not have any windows and they offered me a brighter room for a reasonable price. Also, I hurt myself at the toe and the woman at the reception helped me right away. They have a first aid kit with the basics in case of minor injuries. The...

i have stayed at Baan Saladeng many times over the years and always found it to be a great place to stay for a few nights. Although I haven't stayed for a while, i thought I would review - I haven't forgotten about your lovely hospitality! Check-in always quick. there are no lifts at the property, but don't worry -...

Whenever I came to Bangkok, this hotel has been my preferred choice. To be completely honest, I wasn’t completely thrilled by my stay this time. It’s kinda sad ‘cos I knew and had casual chats with the owner on many occasions. First of all, this hotel has expanded to include more rooms. The reception was enlarged and the massage place...

The Baan Saladaeng Boutique Guesthouse has a fantastic location with only a five minute walk to the Sala Daeng BTS and Pat Pong Markets at night. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Room was basic, a reasonable size but clean and comfortable. A basic hot breakfast was cooked fresh, there was also cereal, fruit, juice, tea and coffee which filled...

The staff were very friendly and welcoming, also very helpful with suggestions of where to go, how to get there, what to see. The room was average; spacious and air-conditioned. It was a quiet place very near the bustling night-life and close to the train station, so easy to get around. I would recommend Baan Saladaeng as an affordable option...

Stayed at Baan Saladaeng for three nights earlier this week in a suite room. Reflections on our stay: each suite has a "theme", ours was called the Blue Room. All this meant was that the room was painted in blue and in the bathroom the sink and tub were blue. The room itself was spacious, around 40 sq metres, with...

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
