I stayed here in march and in April of 2015. It was my first time in Thailand. The staff were super accommodating and the facilities were beautiful and clean. Bedroom was awesome and nice and cool with the AC. Pool on the roof was perfect for a refreshing dip. The location was great and central to everything in Bangkok but...

This hotel is on the Khaosan Road. It's a backpackersplace with a lot of movement, rumours and noise. In the hotelroom you hear the noise of the music and the karaokeshows till about two o'clock in the night. The other side is that you are in the heart of the tourist centre. Nearby a lot of shops, bars, restaurants etc....

The hotel was very clean and the staff was nice. It is located directly on the Khao San Road, as a result it is not easy to sleep because the parties there are going on till 5am or something. So it is no place for someone who wants to relax. The rooftop pool was very dirty. The staff was friendly.

A friend and I stayed here for 1 night after arriving in bangkok for the start of our trip. The location is great for youngsters and is easy to get to from the airport - 30min taxi ride. We booked a deluxe double with private balcony but was a good size and seeing as it wasn't that expensive it was...

We arrived at 6am (after a dreadful night on a nightbus) and thought we would try our luck and ask to check in at that time. To our surprise they gave us our key and we went straight to bed! The day after, we had a flight that evening so had to spend all day in Bangkok with our bags...

The location can be perfect or a nightmare depending on what type of traveler you are. Great for travelers wanting a close place to stay near the bars but not for travelers wanting a quiet place to sleep. The inn is across from a bar that plays really loud music so having a "quiet room" isn't as quiet as you...

We have stayed at Rikka Inn before and the rooms are fine, basic but clean. Pool has gone downhill since last visit, definitely not what you see in the photo! It's very loud as you can imagine on Khao San Rd so fine if you are partying but I wouldn't go back with kids again. They have travel booking Centre...

Nothing particularly wrong with the room or the facilities. Room fine, air con worked, bed comfy, bathroom okay. Staff however are pretty rude and unhelpful. Everything is an inconvenience to them - even just asking for a map. In comparison to the hostel we stayed in in Chiang Mai the staff seemed even worse. We saw several guests in the...

Basic rooms but air conditioning worked well, bathroom quite small but hot water. Swimming pool has green water so we never really went in. The place is a bit run down and could use a little renovation. Right in the center of the backpackers area. The down side is that you won't sleep until 5am, when the parties are over....

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
