Noisy - one word describing all day long at this hotel. Party till very early morning outside, people walking, loud AC.
But also clean, good location. The only hotel I appreciated no window at room - here you can sleep.
The location was great on Khao San Road (one of the best looking places) and it was very clean. For the price it's probably the best you'll get. The pool is nice. Be aware it is very noisy at night due its amazing location, so...More
If you like to party and want to be in the center of the backpackers heaven, that is the great place to be. Rooms are nice and tidy and staff has been very helpful during our all stay. The only drawback is the pool which...More
Located in the hearth of Khao san road, If you are looking for quiet place to stay, do not go there. Staff was okay, not especially nice, not rude. Didnt have time but the pool on the roof could have been really nice.
Having previously stayed on Khao San Road at D&D Inn, I sure that Rikka Inn would be more than adequate. Our room was standard room and it was very small but did the job, the bathroom however was tiny and you couldn't shower without getting...More

While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around
Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.

When this happens to us we usually book that night at the hotel that you fly in even though you won't be there til say 230 in the morning, it'll be fine to check in when you get there, someone will be in the night shift. It's nice to go and have a bit of a sleep when you get in that late. Traffic won't be too bad that time of night so I'd say if you fly in by 1230 you would be at the hotel by 230am,possibly 2am if the airport is not too busy. Go downstairs at the airport and get a taxi, you take a ticket from a machine and go to that number marked in the taxi parking area and ask for Khao San Rd and Rikka Inn, tell them it's the burger king end if they don't know the hotel, you'll see the sign up high on the building.
