I have stayed at this guest house when travelling solo and loved it. On this visit to Bangkok I was with a friend, and we stayed in the accommodation described as "studio type" on the website. This description does not do it justice at all as it is really a small apartment in a condo building, just a 5 minute...

We stayed in the apartment that is located a few blocks away from Urban House and it worked out very well for us. It is a small, clean apartment with a small living room and a good bathroom with shower and two queen size beds. The apartment has security and a pool. We went for breakfast each morning at Urban...

Spent a long weekend at Urban House in their suite room. This guesthouse has an excellent, and quiet, location: both BTS and MRT (Skytrain and the underground) are a very short walk away. So is a large shopping complex which has many restaurants. Saladaeng Road is two blocks away from Si Lom and three blocks from Lumpini Park. There are...

Loved this place. Clean, simple and good ubication, not centric but very well connected to other city districts. The girl working there (Wan) is amazing and will help you to organise your trip and recommend very good places. The only cons is that it is not very cheap but definitely worth it.

I find the maximum ratings and award that this hotel gets on your site inexplicable. It is a dump. I booked this through booking.com to find that the pictures that accompanied my booking bore no relation to the room I was offered. On the site, the photos show a slick, modern and comfortable room, whereas the room I got was...

I've a pleasant memory of staying here at Urban House back years ago. As a female solo traveller, staying in a foreign country to study for a month, it was not easy to decide where to stay with so many things to consider- the water pressure, cleanness, service, laundry, location and so forth. Urban House caught my interest with a...

The hotel is located in a nice and quiet back alley, but still centrally located. One MRT and one sky train station are in walking distance. The rooms are impeccably clean, with daily cleaning and towel service. The owner of the hotel is extremly friendly and helpful. Every morning she would ask you where you want to go and give...

Simple, clean and very comfortable room. It was nice and quite while being in the middle of it all. Love the easy access to both bts and mrt station. Super friendly and helpful staffs/owners made it an exceptional stay. Will definitely be back when I travel through this part of town again.

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
