If you want a place near the red light district and where most of the tourist are which is Silom Bangkok, this is the best location for you. The host can speak and converse well in English. You can get great deals and discounts for tours and entrance fees. Plus the place is clean and well-maintained. The prices is just...

We stayed there for one week and it was great ! We had our privacy with our own room. Prices are really cheap for this hostel standard (breakfast and water included !!) and location ! The staff is great and helped us for everything we asked ! Thanks :)

This place is not at all like it says in the other reviews...we have slept in a lot of hostels/guesthouses all over Southeast Asia and this was by far one of the best ones!! Stayed in a private room: spacious and clean with AC and fan. Not at all noisy although its next to a busy street. Shared bathrooms were...

We saw the photos in Internet and we thought that it would 6 be a good place. First, we had to jump over the rats. After we were too much disappointed, there wasn't light, it was dirty and far away from the city center. I will not come back there anymore. No repetiriamos jamas. Muchisimas ratas en la zona. El...

This hostel, while not the most luxurious, is a wonderful choice because of the friendly staff. It will feel like a home away from home if you talk to them. Otto will help teach you some Thai, will tell you funny stories, tell where the best street food is, and, if you return a second time, they will remember you...

We arrived here after a long flight from Sydney - and so glad we booked here! The couple that run this place are so lovely!! They swapped rooms so we could check in earlier noticing how tired we were and are very helpful!! We got here on the first day of Songkran and the celebrations were right outside our hostel...

So let's just say, I don't think we meant to book this place, especially after reading some of the reviews. It was pretty easy to find, pretty much a straight walk from exit 4 of the Chong Nonsi BTS station, just on the corner, where the train-line itself corners. And it's in a pretty good location, with a great atmosphere...

After we opened the door to our room we saw two cockroaches, not nice, but ok. The rooms are really basic, just a bed and nothing more. Our room was facing a balcony, where the owner family was drying things and storing some trash. One air-con for two rooms is not enough, so it was very hot during the night....

The staff are rude and inattentive. That being said if you are just looking for a dorm room under 300 baht then it is a decent option. Showers and bathrooms are pretty good, but the width of the beds is seriously bellow average.

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
