The hotel is extremely difficult to find. It took us ages to find it. We were upgraded to a larger room after I complained that I did not want to sleep in a room opposite two guys who were sleeping with their door open! The upgraded room did not have wi fi, but was a quieter and larger room. Our...

This was not our first choice, but with a short notice trip to Bangkok on New Years Eve, and looking to stay near the Bumrungrad Hospital we were lucky to find a room anywhere. As it was, we experienced serendipity. I'll try not to repeat all that has been said before, only to agree with most of it. The Oasis...

We had discovered this hotel in March 2011 and found it was perfect if you are visiting Bumrungard hospital. We again stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. We had room 3C and checked in at almost midnight. As always the Security guard checked us in and within minutes we were in our room. Again we had a wonderful big...

Stayed here for 4 nights, arriving very late and the lovely security watchman signed us in and helped us with the bags. They accept cash payments which for us was fine. We were in room 4D on the top floor, very lovely, wireless net, chic decor, lovely bathroom and a balcony. The staff are so accomodating that when I came...

I stayed at this hotel for about a week and thoroughly enjoyed my stay... The hotel is nestled away in an extremely busy area of Bangkok, located right behind Bumrungrad Hospital and only a minute's walk from Seven Eleven and a dozen street food stalls. The staff speak English and are always friendly. The small continental breakfast is average quality...

I stay at this hotel often when I am in Bangkok. It is comfortable, quiet, the staff is English speaking and exceptionally friendly. The rooms on the 2-4 floors are bright and have a wonderful euro-chic decor. The discount rooms on the first floor have no windows so are a little less desirable. Conveniently located right next to Bumrungrad Hospital...

Good value for the money, though nothing fancy. The rooms are fairly spacious and the mattress is good. The staff speaks English and is friendly and helpful. Its in a generally quiet area, though an occasional problem is that one of the staff has a child who runs around the lobby, sometimes talking and singing to himself, making a lot...

Stayed two nights here during medical treatment at Bumrungrad Hospital as an outpatient. Cheapest rooms are US$20 or so cheaper than the hospital's own residences, and the Oasis feels much more like a house than an institution. Room (mine was a Standard) was clean, spacious and with OK facilities. Breakfast was a US$4 option and was pretty basic - cornflakes,...

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighbourhood Profile
Sukhumvit
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.

“A lot of guests already mentioned here, always ask to view other room types at check in. Stairs may be an issue to many but I am totally fine with it. Actually I am surprised by their array of TV channels selection being a family hotel. Personally I think this is more suitable to holiday makers than business travelers”
