Rooms and bathrooms are clean. Staff is very friendly and helpful, speak perfect english. Good breakfast buffet with homemade bread. Wifi ok. Location is...

We got our room when we arrived, and everything seemed fine. When we got back from the city and wanted to get some sleep we found huge bedbugs crawling under our pillows and on the sheets. Fortunately we discovered them before falling asleep so we did manage to escape without any bites. When we asked if there were any other...

I stayed here on the first two nights of a 3 week trip to Thailand and was eaten alive by bed bugs. The picture doesn't do it justice, my other arm was worse. The sheets were filthy and were not changed overnight. There seemed to be no housekeeping...Despite having booked a room had with air con, we just had a...

I booked two nights here and I did not regret the decision. The rooms were clean (Beds are not like the normal beds), toilet is a little small if you are large in size, rooms feel safe for a solo female backpacker like me. The location though is a little far if you are on legs and you arrive at...

Social hostel with a lot of people around - beware that it is like 90% Danish people in groups because major travelagency's in Denmark use this place for arrival and departure - hence the Danish travel desk. Not sure how well that works out for "foreigners". Facilities are nice and the location is good - except for the broken beds...

First of all, I must praise the hosts at this place. They all speak English well and are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are not very nice, small and damp (tried two fan rooms, i.e. no ac. We had a great 5 nights here! Really good location and super friendly staff. The atmosphere was always very chilled, which made you feel layer back, even in the hustle and bustle from Bangkoks busy streets. Good food and drink options in the cafe and for breakfast, but also many street food choices available close by! We enjoyed ourselves!

Got great advice about my travels here. The staff is super knowledgeable and very helpful with getting to nearby countries. They have a lot of package deals that are reasonably priced. This is definitely a commercial backpackers place and not for super budget backpackers! They also charge 200 baht extra for booking trains and extra for buses which is a...

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
