The bed & Breakfast is situated in Soi Rambuttri, a parralele street of Khaosarn Road. It is a bit noisy but not as bad as Khaosarn Road, there is a bit of music playing live band in the late evening but bearable.the rooms are just ordinary but confortable , there is toilets and showers for men and women separated, but...

The hotel is situated in the heart of Khao San on the parallel road very close to some bars with live music. You can listen to it every day until 2am. Rooms on the left side should be quieter, but I am not sure. Rooms are very basic, but clean and comfortable, as well as shared bathrooms. The staff was...

On arrival, the staff wer not very friendly or helpful. The room was small and basic. We were given twin beds instead of the double we had booked. We did not try to change this owing to the attitude of the staff previously. Beds were clean but the room needed a bit of TLC. Toilet and shower facilities were shared,...

Just came across this place when I got into Bangkok again. People are friendly and even whilst I had to share a bathroom, these were really clean, so not a problem at all. Good vibe, close to everything, tiny breakfast (service I haven't seen in budget hotels in Thailand) and sort of quiet at night even though close to all...

This is on the road parallel to Koh San Rd. So if you like to be close to the craziness but not on top of it, you'll like it. The rooms are very basic and small but clean. The bathrooms/showers are outside the bedrooms but are always clean - I've stayed at some ratty guesthouses in Bangkok so this is...

The room is so small and the common bathroom is so so small. I think the bathroom and toilet is only 2x2 square fts. They charge 300 bath just to stay for 5 hours (12 pm - 5 pm) in a no aircond room, no towel provided. It was so hot in the fan room. regretted that we paid them...

REVIEWER PERSPECTIVE * Mid-40’s single male traveler from the U.S.A. doing a 4 month world trip. *Focus has been on staying in budget accommodations. A good budget hotel/hostel for my standards is: secure, clean, comfortable, quiet at night, with reasonable access to the location I am visiting. I don’t mind staying in (or walking through) a working class neighborhood so...

We stayed here for 3 nights in early Jan 09. The location for Tuptim is really good for walking to the main sites like The Grand Palace, Reclining Budhha etc. Also if nightlife's your thing then its a minute or so walk to the Khaosan road. The rooms are basically four walls and a bed. The bathroom/shower is shared as...

We stayed 3 nights in a shared twin room and a single double room. This B&B is very basic, but overall a pleasant experience. The staff were friendly & helpful any time of the day or night. The rooms were small but clean--the air conditioner worked very well. I'm not a huge fan of shared showers, but these were basically...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
