We spent our first nights in Bangkok here. It is a beautiful hotel and looks just like the pictures. It was my husband and i's 10 year anniversary and they upgraded us to suite with a jacuzzi and decorated our bed on the day which was lovely. For me the best part of this hotel was the restaurant. The food...

I have a Maslow hierarchy of hotel needs that determine the quality of my stay. The first rung includes a quiet room with a comfortable large bed, a quality shower and good aircon. 10/10 for our stay at ariyasom. The next rung has to do with the spaciousness of the room, the service and quality of the decor. The food...

Husband and I spent a few days at Ariyasomvilla while on a quick trip to Bangkok. We have enjoyed staying in boutique hotels in the past and were really looking forward to Ariyasomvilla ... What we enjoyed: - the staff is kind, welcoming us upon our arrival and during our entire stay; - the rooms are clean-ish and large, with...

This hotel epitomizes the definition of "Boutique Hotel". I have been fortunate enough to do a significant amount of travel and stay in some of the most amazing hotels, but this sweet little sanctuary in the heart of Bangkok has every detail handled. First of all the grounds are absolutely beautiful, the owner is a landscape architect and the grounds...

Excellent, friendly, sumptuous haven in the midst of Bangkok. Staff and manager could not be nicer. Food delicious, rooms lovely (on each of the 3 occasions we stayed). Our base while we travelled back and forth, utterly reliable. Highly unreservedly recommend.

This is an oasis in the middle of Bangkok. A boutique hotel that offers great facilities and Thai style accommodation with all the mod cons. The staff are incredibly helpful and the food was great - there are even some comfort food dishes on the menu to complement the Thai cuisine. One of the best hotels I have stayed in.

The bedroom decor is lovely with antique wooden desk, bed, wood floors and soft colors to complement the setting. Our bathroom was large with both a full tub and separate shower. Stones and orchids decorate open space between the shower and toilet. A very comfortable room but slightly dark. Outside the canal boats travel up and down the river. The...

We spent three nights at Ariyasomvilla and found everything about the hotel to be excellent. The side street it is on is nothing great when you first get there, but the hotel itself is a lush property completely insulated from the area around it (except for the daytime noise from the canal boats). It is a short walk to the...

This is a lovely hotel. Our room was gorgeous. The breakfast was fabulous. The swimming pool was refreshing. The setting, fabulous. The owner/host very gracious and helpful. The location, superb. It was a tad pricey, but for us, worth the price because we retreated, rested and recovered in the afternoons for a few hours between morning and evening outings. We...

We absolutely loved Ariyasomvilla. We were upgraded to a deluxe room which was stunning - I regret we never found the time to make use of the beautiful spa bath. The room had everything we needed including excellent bedside lighting. We did make full use of the pool, really needed that opportunity to cool down and relax after hours of...

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighbourhood Profile
Sukhumvit
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Ariyasomvilla Boutique Hotel is a very unique property in the centre of Bangkok. The original house was built by the current Owners Grandparents in 1942. Unlike other hotels Ariyasomvilla gives you a real sense of place and time but with all modern facilities you would expect from 5 star hotels. With 24 rooms Ariyasomvilla is very private and feels like a sanctuary. The pool is large enough for lap, while the spa offers excellent massage. ... more   less
